Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
I'm not sure why people are getting so uppertiy about the £350m p/w to the NHS. It'll take more than that to save it. Interestingly a good 80 % of people in my line of work voted out. Some would even argue that is the government had sorted out the NHS and it hadn't become the absolute mess that it ...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
Here's one for you. Given the financial implications, should Farage/Leave be facing fraud charges over their dishonest NHS/£350m p/w claims? I saw something about this last week. I can't remember the details but basically in an election or in this case a referendum you're allowed to lie. If you wer...

I can't believe it took a referendum for Britain's youth to realize old people hate them.

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
which campaign told lies then, Remain, Leave or both A relative of mine is a nurse and she voted leave due to the lie of the 350 million quid a week going to Brussels that would now be spent on the NHS instead. And now I've just seen this. :P https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2016/0...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
Where's my utopia then? And my bag of gold? When can I expect a return on this deal? Sorry, the referendum is now over and the imaginary 350 mil a week we sent to Brussels wont be going to the NHS. And we might not be getting the immigration numbers down after all. Not to worry though, 'we're takin...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
To be fair to Farage what power does he have to decide how money is spent on the NHS. Then why the need for him to backtrack and say it was a mistake for the Leave campaign to say it? He must fancy that he might be given a government job of some sort and that straight away they've been caught out o...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread
I just saw a YouGov poll saying 75 percent of 18 - 24 year old's and 56 percent of 25 - 49 year old's voted to Remain. If... that's accurate and a fair reflection. Wow!
And I know ClaretDave sounds like a particularly bad loser but he would have a point about the coffin-dodger vote.
