Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
If it was that easy then he’d simply sell to China now and leave Europe destitute. I’m not sure how long it takes or how hard it is to put the infrastructure in place to get that amount of gas to China, but I suspect it is a multi-year process. China is a net importer of natural gas. Australia is t...

Re: I love WHU and football but I loathe the Premier League. I don’t know what to do.
Its not so much the PL per say that I hate, its everything in modern elite football. The people who run the game, FIFA, UEFA, PL, FA and the broadcasters. They've taken football at the elite level away from the supporters and nothing about it is any better than in late 1990's when Dein and Wenger st...

Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
That video is brilliant. Britain and Ireland completely under water, but mainland Europe completely untouched. Nothing about the British counter strike of course. Russian war play strategy of lwar with Nato always see's them using tactical nuclear weapons to "repel" superior Western Force...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United vs Arsenal: match thread
When, like us, you've had players red carded when the actually got the ball before contact but are deemed "out of control" the ref's reaction to Ramsdale is hard to take. But to book Bowen for trying to avoid injury shows how out of touch with what goes on refs are. I bet a certain someone...

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-202?
This is just the weirdest thing to me but I'm not sure what it says about who tbh. First off I'm no fan of dorries. Essentially she misspoke a couple of times. How has this even become a thing? Why does she feel the the need to either lie about or hide behind dyslexia? Why does the internet and med...

Incoming road crash on the "free speech highway". Musks idea of deregulation is basically removing the cages from the dangerous animals at the Zoo and letting them mingle with the public. It'll end up with four very well fed Lions and no public.

But, but, but she says she's never been abusive to anyone on Twitter ... https://www.thenational.scot/news/19902228.nadine-dorries-says-never-abusive-twitter-car-crash-bbc-interview/ So she lied then. I've googled 'Nadine Dorries dyslexia' and nothing comes up before the last two days. Either she's...

Re: Government to introduce independent football regulator in England
Lets hope the regulator doesn't get embroiled in trivial **** and gets some teeth re scheduling and transfer funds. Levelling up is what's needed, and that will start with binning agents, UEFA and FIFA.

Gazza - BBC2/iplayer. Unrelentingly sad. The story of the boy football genius who never grew up. He fell in love with a woman who was wound in by Rebekah Wade who used the access that gave her to climb the media greasy pole, the collateral damage of which was the Gascoigne's marriage, although his ...

I think there's a touch of wish-fulfilment in your views, with respect, but also a fair degree of common sense. He is certainly better than they presently are, in terms of performance and teamplay. He's also, as you say, smart...probably smart enough to respect and consider carefully the advice he ...

Re: Erik ten Hag - Man Utd’s New Manager [non WHU]
The interesting thing about Ten Hag is he has not been THAT successful. What sets him apart from other coaches who have had loads of success with Ajax? You can argue Frank De Boer did even better there and he was no great shakes when he left. If you own it you are always going to win the Derby in a...

Re: Erik ten Hag - Man Utd’s New Manager [non WHU]
Makes me feel a bit sick to say it, but I think CRonaldo would get into at least the Man City and Chelsea teams immediately right now, maybe not Liverpool but that's more down to them having plenty of forward options and not really needing an out and out goalscorer in the way the other two teams co...

Only serves to underline why they are likely to bid for him, imho. Dec is smart enough to see that those passengers ain't waving, they are drowning. If he goes, and I am not convinced he feels inclined, he won't want to go and have a whole rebuild on his shoulders, especially at club for which he h...

New Titanic Capt appointed years after the iceberg struck. Binning Moyes off was the first of a series of catastrophic decisions made at that club, the lessons learned during Ferguson's initial years were thrown out with Moyes and they became a club in the image of Real Madrid, buy some big name pla...
