Re: January 2021 Transfer Window

People talking about getting a back up forward in on loan, but who? Why would a club be happy to lend us a striker? And why would that striker be happy to come here and play back up? It's not as easy as that. By his own admission Moyes has put bids in but nothing has stuck, it happens. Liverpool ar...

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window

Soucek was one we agreed the price for taking on loan with no obligation. Dawson loan agreed, not sure if that includes an agreed price to buy and no obligation. Benrahma yes based on issue identified with medical. It goes back as far as Robbie Keane who we agreed an obligation on if we didn't get ...

That's all well and good except we've been signing up to loans with OBLIGATIONS to buy, which are therefore no better than buying outright.

Decent performance today but should have scored more, and not conceded the last.

Good work again Soucek.

Sorry to sound arrogant, but I'd be disappointed not to beat Palace based on our current form and with Antonio fit.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Interesting point. It's the age old argument about when the timing is right about offering a new contract. I remember the Club making a mistake by prolonging Allardyces renewal back in 2015 and a really good season, soon petered out and he was out the door. Then as you say, reward one during the se...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I wasn’t happy either time he was appointed but wasn’t particularly vocal about it on here. My opinion has changed and I think he’s doing a great job, slowly putting the team/club back on the right tracks in spite of the 3 scumbags he works for. So happy to be proved wrong and quite proud we have a...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Doncaster : FA Cup 4th Rd match thread

I absolutely loved the way that Fornals fist-bumped their keeper after the possible clash of heads.

Such a good mood in the camp. So much respect shown at the end to the opposition and officials.

It's the Moyes factor. He's a gentleman and counteracts everything from the boardroom.

I hope you know and remember he's had my support since day one! I think Stu Pearce or Kev Nolan would be a more exciting comparison, although Irvine did lead us to victory a couple of times when Moyesie was out of action!

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Doncaster : FA Cup 4th Rd match thread

Just listening to EUMB which is a great listen first and foremost but I have to pick up on the comment that Antonio came to us as a RWB as that just isn’t true. He came to us as a RW who was one of the lead scorers in the championship. We then played RW before playing him out of position at RWB the...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

 Feel exactly the same Smonnie Thanks Neath, I know it makes me sound smug but if people want to check they can. I've been in his corner since day one and was delighted to have him back. It's just a shame because I think if he'd have had the 18 months or so Pellers' had, we'd be even further ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Since the day the man walked into our club last time, I said that he was the right man. I grew up watching what he did at Everton. I remember us being 2-0 up and losing 3-2. We should never have let him go just because Pellers flashed his legs at us. He was building something. He's proving that once...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Doncaster : FA Cup 4th Rd match thread

I've been advocating Yarmo as a back-up striker since we signed him - particularly as he plays there for Ukraine. I've said before he is dangerous at both ends of the pitch when he comes on to play as winger. Relieved of defensive responsibilities he is a good attacker. Would take him off now, keep ...
