Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)
Funky Chicken - great post, I agree with pretty much all of your observations, there are many reasons we got thumped today but team selection, tactics and substitutions all played a huge part, and the manager has to hold up his hands for these.

Dear Manuel, Please play this team just once. ———— Fabianski ———— Fredricks diop balbuena masuaku ———-—— Rice —————- —— Fornals —— Lanzini ——- Yarmolenko ——— Anderson ————- Arnautovic ———- Best regards, Russ. Don’t think young Declan would thank you for that. Drop Lanzini. Push the new lad into an ...

Re: Andy Carroll
This guy is a parody of a footballer, and has been for some time. It’s outrageous he’s anywhere near the 1st XI squad, let alone team. The whole team is affected when he plays, he can’t play as a lone striker, and lacks any mobility so as a front pair we get left short in midfield. The minute I see ...

Any news on whether Arnie is definitely back for Manure? If so, got to feel optimistic.

Re: Declan Rice
Rice carries on like this and he'll be gone next summer. I thought he was again outstanding today. Beat me to the post H92. Big money offer for young Declan next summer. Reminds me a little of watching a young Rio, foolishly rejoicing in the thought of having this promising, cultured player at the ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Watford: match thread
Tickets went on the exchange this morning. Sold within an hour. So disillusioned at the moment. Couldn’t stand the thought of that walk in the rain, being held up by security, that cold bowl with no character, another crap performance with a team that have gone backwards since we left the Boleyn, an...

Where on the pitch and how did we lose possession ?.[/quote]
Losing possession doesn’t mean you have to concede. Or is that what you’re saying? He lost possession in the opposition’s half. Sounds like an agenda.

Re: Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham Utd: match thread
For ****'s sake. Chicharito has to hold the ball there. Thats what led to it. Seriously? Three centre backs all at sea. A right back playing centre midfield, jogging aroun the pitch, who does nothing to close down the pass. A left wing back with a shocking tackle. An opposition out of form playing ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
That stadium was damp and cold today, mood not helped by walk from the station exposed to the elements and having to go the long way round to avoid the security pile up on the bridge. Couldn't wait to get out, to be honest.

Definitely. He’s been through his rocky patch, there’s life in the Ginger Pele yet. He’s also not playing internationals. Another 12 months.

No changes? Pathetic. Kouyate has no business still being on that pitch. Are we throwing the match?

Re: Arsenal v West Ham Utd: match thread
If Arsenal were handicapped by not being allowed a goalkeeper, I’m still not sure we could score. And that’s not being flippant.

Re: Arsenal v West Ham Utd: match thread
Cresswell doesn’t work at right wing back. The fella can’t dribble on his own flank, hows he going to do so on the ‘wrong’ one? No outlet there.
This Arsenal side is nothing special, the game’s still there with a change of personnel and tactics. Do we want to go through to the semis???

Re: Arsenal v West Ham Utd: match thread
The frustrating thing about this is that it will only take a couple of tweaks to have a really good chance of going through here, a genuine right sided midfielder / wing back, and someone getting hold of the central midfield and finding a team mate with a pass.
