Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Then maybe make the whole end standing. I'm confused somewhat as I keep reading that people are constantly told to sit or get ejected or get letters. Will add that I always sit upper tier at LS but at the BG I used to stand or sit depending on mood or if taking my mum etc to an odd game. Even if I ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Anfield already has 12,000 safe standing places but the Kop is now going fully safe standing. I think it's time that maybe the lower half of the lower tier of the billy bonds stand or lower tiers behind goals did the same. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2024/04/liverpool-announce-safe-standing-expan...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Michail Antonio
I love this man. Has squeezed every ounce of success out of his skill and body over 9 years with us. Central to some of our best wins and seasons in a generation. Article about him in The Athletic... Michail Antonio is West Ham United’s all-time leading goalscorer in the Premier League, David Moyes’...

Re: The kids are all right
Knock out current clubs and you are doing it wrong. With the financial issues most lower league clubs have PL and top championship clubs should be looking to in essence turn some of these into feeder clubs. They get a financial boost on the understanding that 5/6 of the senior teams most promising ...

Re: The kids are all right
Which towns across England will see their clubs knocked out of the Football League to allow a bunch of reserve teams to battle it out for the League 2 promotion slots?

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Had a quiet half hour with work just now, ended up watching videos from the Sevilla, Lyon, Alkmaar and Fiorentina games. How am I supposed to switch back into work mode for the next 2.5 days?! Let alone do anything productive between full time on Thursday and kick off next week!

Conference League final allocation is a right kick in the balls. 9k per team (3k increase on last year) in a smaller stadium!
Missed out by a point, would definitely get one for that

Better than last year obviously, still a joke as usual.
Pricing isn't actually that bad (in the context of how much is charged for some big games)

6ft4.
Can play right back.
I'm in. Line up with him and Aguerd either side and two little fellas in the middle. Other teams will never see it coming.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Bernardo Silva > Barcelona - £50m release clause allegedly. Silva leaving City is quietly one of the most boring transfer sagas of all time. Sure he's been said to want out for the last 3 summers only to give them another year. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ma...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread
The most surprising thing I've learnt today is that Fabianski is 6 foot four. I always thought he looked a tad short for a goalkeeper. For no reason, this prompted me to look at the tallest team we could reasonably put out with the current squad. Areola 6'5 Mavropanos 6'4 Zouma 6'3 Ogbonna 6'3 Ague...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Adding a 3rd centre back to account for the loss of Alvarez feels like a bad idea. We're really well drilled with a back 4 + defensive midfielder when it comes to letting the other team have ball and not get baited into pressing recklessly, why change the shape and people's starting positions with s...

Re: Stopping the cheating
In my mind, dealing with the cheats is a bit of a conundrum. If it became mandatory to take a player off for a head injury assessment and replace them with a temporary sub, we all know what's going to happen; It'll just become another tool to gain an advantage. Players who may need a bit of a breat...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
They should fancy their chances; especially against our defence. I think we need a good portion of luck to get through, but who knows. I think it's a real shame, that we'll be without Alvarez at the BayArena, where we have to sit deep and hit them on the counter. Leverkusen don't play physicsl atta...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread
Their defence struggled to cope with the pace and physicality of Kudus/Bowen in December. Add in 30-60 minutes of Antonio and we're well set to get the chances to beat them.

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
I see Sean Whetstone in his latest column is doing his very best to justify the price increases and the loss of certain concession seats. He says we need the extra money from ticket revenue to compete with the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. He even goes as far as saying that the board have ad...
