THAT was absolutely ****ing special.
What a hit and what a moment to do it.
Absolutely brilliant Tom. Last minute miracle worker.

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
Freiburg is the best draw on paper imo.
We’ve beaten them twice already so we know the level. We just need to make sure we don’t overlook them or get arrogant.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
If we can flip Flynn Downes into the majority of the JWP cost, it’s good business. I’m not the biggest Ward-Prowse guy, but he’s a solid asset and I love it when he is used in our press. He seems like one of those players that really can vary greatly in terms of effectiveness based on where in the m...

Re: Ben Johnson
Is there no contract on the table for him, DH? We tried to get him to change agent. We also tried to get him to agree to a contract behind his agent’s back. All this despite said agent being someone who has been incredibly close to Ben and the family since he was a youngster. It has never been abou...

Re: Ben Johnson
The problem is not deciding that Ben Johnson isn’t good enough to play for West Ham, and then acting accordingly to that decision in good, open faith. It’s trying to get him to change agent and also trying to get him to sign a contract behind his agent’s back. Then it’s using the same tired and obvi...

Re: Ben Johnson
The disappointing thing was the simple, no-brainer move was there to have an Academy boy who loves the club signed up long-term to be always in the match day squad and able to play RB, LB and maybe even a bit of CB and midfield when need be. Even if it was never as the bonafide starter, he could eas...

Re: Ben Johnson
Not what I've heard. And my source is impeccable. He hasn't asked for that much. Brady is just a horrendous person. No contract was offered. Then the leaks against Johnson started the following day. Correct. Was never asking that much, nor is money particularly the issue. The club has been odious. ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I see that Claret & Booze are using the recent Brentford win as proof that DM needs to be removed. :crylol: Finding the social media channels , including Claret & Hugh fake articles, hard to stomach. Just ignore them mate. Their impact is vastly overstated anyway as 99% of West Ham fans hav...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
There’s definitely a purposeful intention and even plan to be ultra creative on the left and draw defenders to Paqueta like a moth to a flame, before switching the pitch and exposing Kudus in space against the left back/left centre back.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
Twice in two days someone has tried to dredge up a load of stats for a flair player whilst skipping things like goals scored. :D Where do I start? First of all, I didn’t try to dredge up anything. They are stats I just read this morning on a Reddit post and thought they were interesting. Secondly, ...

He won a few headers to clear corner kicks the other night too, which he often does.
Typically the last thing you’d imagine a genius maverick Brazil 10 mucking in with.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
Per 90 minutes, I read that some stats for Paqueta are apparently:
Top 10% assists
Top 15% successful dribbles
Top 15% key passes
Top 4% ground duels
Top 4% ground duels won
Top 20% aerial duels won
Top 20% tackles
Top 4% fouled against
He is an insanely complete player.

Re: Ben Johnson
Heard yesterday what actually happened with Ben in the contract negotiations. Brady is poison. As I’ve mentioned before, this has been a trademark of the negotiations. The club has been a disgrace and I could be much more specific in exactly who and what has happened, but I will not do that. But lo...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Do I? Maybe you have me confused with other posters? It’s a fact though isnt it? It’s subjective on here, however its a fact that Moyes has deployed him in a role that has arguably got the best club form in his life out of him, its my opinion that ill trust the manager of my club to make the right ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Payet the better player. Possibly the most talented player to ever play for the club. Different roles, Payet tasked more with direct contributions to G+A playing higher up the pitch as well as taking set pieces. Paqueta is asked to shoulder a different load, plays deeper, is often the pass before th...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Amazing that a professional football manager with over 600 premier league games under his belt knows more than some blokes on a football forum You use this line so, so often but it doesn’t do much for the discourse really does it? For one thing, it’s subjective as to whether Paqueta is best employe...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I think most of the top 6 can match it, and a few can surpass it. Controversial opinion is that Paqueta doesn't chip in with enough goals or assists. The concept of Grealish as a replacement is a much tighter call than the 'Paqueta is world class' shouts suggest, imo. It’s Paqueta’s ‘flow’ and ‘vib...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Some of those clubs are absolutely run like a circus. Lazio sold 11 season tickets on their opening day of sales in 2016. They sold just 8500 a year or two back. Lotito is hated etc. Their stadium, which I’ve been to numerous times to watch them, is worse than ours, further away, always empty and pe...
