Re: Allardyce: Stick or twist

The fact people are suggesting a failing academy coach (Carr) and a failed rogue ex player (Di Canio) shows how limited our obvious options are. Look at how Citeh recruited someone ypu'd never heard of but who has been brilliant.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

Surely we have a reputation of being an amusing bunch of supporters (see Jonjo Shelvey chants) who don't have to resort to anti-semitism? Nothing to do with over-sanitised nature of football but more specifically correct behaviour and incorrect imo of course  Agree. Completely. Today lets sh...

Re: West Ham United v Everton FC: Match Thread

Left feeling optimistic. Good all round performance despite two stupid fouls. Petric looks excellent and signs of life from Vaz Te. But above all Ravel. Silky skills, vision and a shot on him. It's going to be tough but we'll be ok. Funniest thing is all the boll*cks about martinez' sophisticated po...

Re: Southampton FC v West Ham United: Match Thread

Considering Osvaldo and Lovern cost more than our eleven that finished the match, it was a good result. Got what we came for, poor wasn't amazing but we got the result, add in the players we were missing we might of done more but a good day at the office points wise. Quite right. And in other posit...

Well, what's happened to the dreadful weather predicted for today? Weatherman said last night it was gonna blow a howling gale and it was gonna ****ing piss with rain. ****. As I look out, here in Crawley, which is only about an hour from Southampton by road, it is bright sunshine and not a cloud i...

Realistically, 2-1 to them. Reckon they will go comfortably ahead if we sit back and we'll end up chasing it at the end.

Re: Southampton FC v West Ham United: Match Thread

As much as I love JOB - I think the fact that he is right footed, and tends to play the ball inside to Diame/Noble, it really restricts us from getting the best out of Jarvis. agree big time. funnily enough Joey does plough forward on occasion and has even scored goals by getting into the box but h...

Doesn't look like Petric will figure on Sunday according to BFS's press conference today:

Just a thought, but if we think Vaz Te is not up for it, how about playing the RAT at left half with Jarvis on the right?

Re: West Ham United v Stoke City: Match Thread

That was a realty check. Told us a lot of things we sort of knew. 1. maiga is not a lone striker 2. Nolan is not a striker 3. We are short of midfield pace 4. Jarvis is pretty predictable 5. Morrison is a good prospect 6. We can't play from the back 7. We lack creativity 8. We are no better than a v...

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014

I honestly cannot see us getting, Quag, Cardozo, Ba, Lukaku or anyone of that calibre as they will know that Sam will play AC as his lone striker when fit. Cant see any of them fancying playing 2nd fiddle and cant see us splashing out a great deal on a back up. Shoot me down if u want, but I think ...

I was saying that about Nolan - I thought he looked slimmer than I've ever seen him - perhaps it's just the effect of the new kit!

Re: West Ham Utd V Cardiff City: match thread

Cardiff were very poor but that was a very solid performance. I thought Diame was MotM, but also good contributions all round and two excellent goals. Downing looked real class. I thought Maiga followed instructions very well and gave us some pace that we usually lack - he was even winning a lot in ...
