It's not Kris Akabusi it's Alexander O'Neal.

....never doubted he didn't just pointing out we've not really got a lot that links us to being 'West Ham' but have kept most of what links to Thames Ironworks.

Re: POLL: The New Club Crest
UTJ our current badge and historic ones reference Thames Ironworks over anything to do with 'West Ham' even our nickname is the 'Irons' or 'Hammers' which again pertains to the Ironworks over West Ham

Some of the drama people on here are trying to make up about Lanzini explains exactly why football is just not a mans game anymore.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Forgive me but my eyes tell me Arnautovic is a massive upgrade on Snodgrass and a pretty big upgrade to Feghouli, as well. Maybe so but we're still struggling for someone who plays the striker role well, and Arnautovic will do no better than Antonio in that role so back to how it was last season......

Fletcher & Calleri rarely looked like being 'looked after' remember one thing if he's getting games it STILL means it's gone tits up for us.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Wonderful Pezza, only problem is i remember how ineffective Ayew and Antonio were as the lone striker and Martinez goes in with a LOT of pressure to do well rather than being 'ready' to try the step up.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Not putting myself on a pedastal, but how on earth did you expect us to compete with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool for players simply because we had 20k extra seats? What can we offer the top top players? No European football, no pedigree for winning stuff. It doesn't matter how much ca...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Nice of you to post this late, sums up your response really. If it's nonsense how else did Chelsea and Man City do it? Overtake Arsenal and at times recently Man United? As for the owners not making promises, they did they mentioned the step up and the only 2 clubs to do that well spent loads on pla...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
There's something about Hernandez signing for us that's gettingovrrlooked. And that is, we beat Chelsea to his signing and managed to hold them off even though they have the greater pulling power. Starter at West Ham vs squad member at Chelsea. In my opinion i think he's had his fingers burnt at 2 ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Exactly Bristol, I'm looking at this as not what i wanted for West Ham but what they sold the move to us as. If we was still at Upton Park this would have been a fantastic window, but as they moved us they put us in direct competition with the top 6 clubs as we now have a bigger stadium than some of...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
I would be over the moon with this window if we was at Upton Park, at the new stadium it's a season late and will have to be ramped up in future windows to keep bums on seats not because i demand it, but because big crowds come to see great teams in the CL.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Patito you name the one season in how many Chelsea haven't been in? they've WON the ****ing CL on guess what....... the back of regular participation.I said it guarantees them REGULAR (you know, rare they are not in it) CL not every season. Everton, exactly my point they've still not laid out as muc...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Tell that to Man City & Chelsea that net spend didn't guarantee regular CL football for them. As for Everton being an example they've laid out the sorts of money years ago on Lukaku that we are just showing signs of spending now. The move will have a shelf life of appeal for players and filling ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Net spend is not cobblers if you move us from a great stadium to a rented one and state it's in order to make the step up.
The step up is all about the initial net spend that secures you a place in the CL.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017
Because it was their initial high net spend that catapulted them into the CL and therefore gained them players most clubs can only dream of having. That's the next level, and we've just gone all wibble over a striker who was a sub at two of these types of club. I don't care what they spend now 'net'...

Football should be about who you have in your team not an autopsy on the finances of players you deem not good enough for your team
