Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Think he played well last night. At times was left isolated up front against Van Dijk which is a thankless task.

Deserves to keep his place even if Arnie is back.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham Utd: match thread (9/2)

Would start the same XI assuming no fatigue. Fredericks was fantastic and deserves to keep his place. I also think Hernandez had a good game last night given he had the thankless task of being quite isolated up front along at times against arguably the best CB in the league. Plus these are the sorts...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread

On a slightly different note to the OV - their fans despite what I'm sure was a long journey  for many of them....didn't make a peep all night. It was the usual anthem at kick off and then nothing. After they scored they conjured up a verse or two of Liverpool Liverpool before being drowned ou...

Seen a lot on twitter and even at work about mickeys having tickets in the home end tonight.

Knowing how bad our stewards are I imagine it will kick off a few times.

Stay safe chaps.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread

Cress is a Liverpool fan, is he not? Released from their academy and from what I recall has always performed well against them. Crucial performer when we did the double over them. He is usually always up for it. It seems no one is giving us a chance and those are the sorts of games we excel in. As ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread

Antonio has a bizarrely good record against Liverpool and for that reason I would probably start him. He will also help get us up the pitch as if Arnie is out we have no one who can even give their defence a test. He isn't technically good enough but he is strong and fast enough to make any defender...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread

From his presser;

Fabianski is ok to play.

Cresswell fitness test tomorrow.

Arnautovic could make it but Nasri needs another week.

Guess we will need to wait for Pelle's presser sometime today.

He always puts in quite a good performance against the dippers from what I remember; a point to prove I imagine.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19

As others have said I am not surprised we didn't do much; Pellegrini is not going to accept some half-baked journeyman as a short term solution to CB or midfield. He will work out what he can achieve with this current group and go after a proper target and rebuild in summer. I am praying that we wil...

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19

As much as I don't particularly rate him we cannot ship out Perez as at least he knows where the goal is. I think we desperately need some reinforcements in, and Gomez would give a lift about the place. So many players need replacing and they probably realise it hence the lack of effort and disinter...

. There's a few characters on here that are always very keen to jump to their defence, well I would love them to tell us what positive contribution G & S have made so far to West Ham Utd FC? What's going to be their lasting legacy? In 20 years time when they've hopefully f***** off, thei...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs West Ham United: Match Thread

The last time Masuaku had a good game for us was when we played 3-4-3 under Moyes. I don't see Pellegrini doing that and would rather we put Zabaleta there than persist with him in a flat back four. I do think matching Wolves up wouldn't be the worst idea, but doubt it will happen...something like t...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs West Ham United: Match Thread

The only positive I can see is if we get tonked tonight it might mean Pellegrini will go to the board and force them to spend in this window.

If that's Gomez or someone else of genuine quality then so be it, because if we get tonked then we'll need a lift.

Re: Angelo Ogbonna

If you are 3rd choice CB for a premier league club you should be good enough to cope with a couple of league one strikers. He is not intelligent enough to cover for Diop when he brings the ball out the back or moves forward to intercept early. Balbuena on the other hand complements Diop perfectly. I...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs West Ham United: Match Thread

Zabaleta is not a central defender. Unfortunately for everyone who supports West Ham, Ogbonna will play unless he puts Rice back there. But then you have to play Obiang again. F*ck it. I'm aware he's not, but he is a better overall defender than Ogbonna who is giving away a goal every two games at ...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs West Ham United: Match Thread

As long as Ogbonna, Masuaku, Obiang and Carroll are nowhere near the starting XI then we have a chance.

Fab
Fredericks - Zabaleta - Diop - Cresswell
Rice
Noble - Nasri
Antonio - Arnie - Anderson

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs

As others have said we can't let him force through a move for less than we value him for like Payet. Sets a terrible precedent. If they do not meet our valuation then we do not sell him. Simple. If he refuses to play then he can sit on the bench for 6 months and we sell him in summer. Selling him fo...

The same station that originally broke the story...have now shut it down. :eh:

Has a new deal been agreed and his brother has passed that message on?

Sarcasm?
Arnautovic literally did this before moving to us from Stoke.
