Re: Manager XIV [POLL]

Posted this elsewhere, but,

Got massive appreciation for Carrs work as a youth coach, but don't want another rookie manager in post.

Zola was a good footballer.........................................

Re: Manager XIV [POLL]

What manager wouldn't want the job. Decent contract, big pay off if promoted.

Any out of work manager would be mad to not want it.

Re: Manager XIV [POLL]

Interesting listening to Sullivan today.

I would point to either Hughton or Curbishley.

He said he wanted an English manager, quickly ammended it to British, but also added he needed to understand the culture and the east end.

Points to these two to me.

My main issue is that it would be stupid to appoint a manager for his Championship record, with just the championship in mind.

We need to appoint a manager for the Championship and beyond.

It's the 'and beyond' which Davies struggles with.
Good point.

Re: Manager XIV [POLL]

Mick,

He has taken small clubs to the playoffs. He has a knowledge of the division.

He has won a playoff final.

He is a strong disciplinarian.

Re: Manager XIV [POLL]

Was looking for Billy Davies, but since he is not on there, I voted my first choice on the list Paul Lambert. I want a manager who can dismantle then rebuild us, bringing in players that want to play for us rather than a big pay check. I think some of the other "big name" managers would ju...

Re: West Ham v Aston Villa Match Thread

What disappointed me, was that every man and his dog knew how Villa would play and we did nothing to counter it. Noble was gash today and Wayne Bridge was left more exposed than ever. Even us amateurs over on the tactics thread predicted that we would need to protect our full backs, but our "on...

Re: saturday's gossip 16th april includes west ham

Mrs Brady SATURDAY APRIL 9 THE train comes off the track at Bolton where we lose badly. I don't take too much account of a phone call later on that tells me Mark Noble and keeper Rob Green were involved in a public spat as there is bound to be friction where there is tension. I am sure there won't b...

Re: Back in the Courts?

We could recommend a certain out of work solicitor to Orient. It will end up with Orient paying us for the next ten years.

Mr Duxberry you are needed

Re: The Olympic Stadium [new poll]

Hadleigh, I agree totally, they are businessmen out to make money. Do you think any other owner is different? Pop, Success draws crowds. Make it a cheap enough alternative to the cinema or bowling alley and those who suddenly find it financially viable will turn up. Naming rights should raise a big ...

Bottom line you either like it and you go, or you don't like it and you don't go.

Can't imagine BBC news suddenly reporting "Hadleigh raises complaint, so whole process reversed", except in your dreams.

Its going to happen whatever league we are in and people will still turn up.
