Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
My constituency is on the Thames & Wey rivers. Our MP, presumably doing as told to by the party whips, voted against punishing water companies being punished for dumping raw sewage, and against a compensation scheme for people becoming ill from that pollution. Yet the unthinking morons round he...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
My slightly alzheimery mum-in-law saying that she'd like to give her bolshy and annoying neighbour "a good fisting". :smiler: We have had a lot of Alzheimers on my dad's side of the family and I don't care what anyone says, they can come out with some awesomely funny stuff during the very...

Re: Sobriety
I tried giving up several times [ there's always some excuse or other to go back ] - the most successful [ it's been 16/17 years now , I've honestly forgotten and stopped counting ] was by going cold turkey - the first week is always the worst , sleepless nights , irritability etc etc but by Week 3...

Re: Sobriety
Bare with me on this, and don't be too disappointed in me. On NYE, had a drink, and it didn't go well, and had a row with my young lady. Wasn't anything too major, but it spoiled the night somewhat - so we both made the decision last night to make our last drink an enjoyable one - chilled out, musi...

"Hey, it's 5:20am and I'm in my 17th home, in Scotland. I've just done 1000 laps of my pool and then I'm going to go for a 30 mile run which will take me around an hour because I'm really great. I'll be back for a cold shower and check how much money I've made on the trades that I put on befor...

Re: Little things that irritate you
I got a phone call from the eye hospital, saying they had an appointment for me, because I'm on their "high priority" list, which was reassuring, since I'd last seen someone in 2019. I had an STI test recently, got a text saying phone the line as a doctor needs to speak to you. The line o...

**** been meaning to post this one for ages. Greg ****ing Secker. For those of you that don't know, if you've ever even visited a currency trading website, your PC will then decide that every time an advert comes up on YouTube, it will be smug "celeb' trader Greg trying to tell you that you can...

Am I the only one who thinks the concept of a safe seat is profoundly depressing? Where I live, Mark Francois has a 31k majority and he is an absolute full shed of tools. I'd love to see him out but just can't see how it is going to happen Proved how hard he was once by having a staring contest on ...

Wonka .
Not a patch on the original. I thought Chalamee was ok as Willy Wonka but felt the story was weak.
I saw it in 4DX with my daughter, which, showing my age, made me feel mildly sick and squirted me in the face with water every 10 mins or so.

I'd love to buy off there but I am not a good enough cook to do it justice and would almost certainly ruin itdasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 8:58 am https://www.johndavidsons.com/product/b ... t-xm-gold/
Was a beautiful piece of brisket. Or at least it was until I f*cked it all up.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
If someone is transgender they are suspect and you don't want to know them? Nice. Because it's not real mate. 10/12 years ago nobody would have had to clarify their pronouns. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I suppose. If you want to waste your time believing this is a real thing, more power t...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Was watching something on Youtube and it had a section on people that stutter. At the bottom it listed some "celebs" who struggle/d with stuttering. Moses was one of them :crylol: There's not really any evidence for his existence but they were aware that he had a stutter . Brilliant stuff.

It's really not anymore mate. Stamped on by the Albanians and puts you straight into psychosis. Heard the story of a woman who checked into rehab. They asked her how long she'd been on heroin. She said never. She'd only ever been on the packet. They said that her blood test showed a different story...

And good for you. I was talking to my new lass the other night about sniff, charlie sex and what not, and she asked if we could do it one day. **** that for a game of cards, I ain't going to be the one that introduces her to it, because of how good it is, and I know that it won't be the last time. ...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Getting an e-mail at work which included the pronouns of choice (he/him) after the sender's name. Never seen this before. Guess it's the future. I may insist on 'it' I've removed every one of my connections on Linkedin that puts their pronouns on their profile. Way I see it, if I can't tell whether...

Re: Sobriety
Same with me with the sniffy-stuff. I didn't want to be around them, they stopped coming around. I rarely keep in touch with people that I used to indulge with - have one or two on my socials, but not seen any of them for years. On a slightly lesser level, the same happened when I knocked the weed ...
