Re: Premier League sack race

Yep, it was still going in the 1980s, I was forced to take part. Our school also did the egg and spoon race only it was a potato, not an egg. I also came second in the cricket ball throwing event, behind some kid who was about 9ft tall, who just nonchalantly chucked the ball and it would disappear ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

... As for Moyes, I think it is still close to a 50/50 split although I'd also say that a high percentage of the 'he deserves to stay' crew would no doubt roll the dice for anyone with solid enough credentials. Who that person is... well that is the huge question. I think for many of those who are ...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

Either the Greenway march succeeded or it didn't. I don't think it did but it was a good start and there was a lot more to come. So how did we end up with about 400 at the gates when Covid was over? That's not a question for speculation, it's one for introspection. Just my personal experience on th...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

A question for anyone, who cares to answer. Considering we are the 15th Richest Club in World football and around the 7th/8th in the PL with similar spend on transfers, where do you think we ought to be finishing in the League? If the money was all spent on players the manager actually wanted then pa...

And Ozza's point was that it had a far more dramatic effect being - in our case - 50% of the starting lineup.

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

They do. Until somebody asks him. Eh, wha's your game then? And thats a good point, because what is his game. He's the gaffer? he doesn't need to be like this. It's his club, what is he trying to prove? "He didn't get where he is today taking advice from know nothings he employs to listen to h...

Re: To Those That Went Today

Really easy to box this in as a one game experience. It's not. We left early, not in the habit of doing that, but kind of figured that if the club can't be ****** neither can i . Don't need any lectures, I've stuck with this club through thick and thin, for longer than most on here have been alive....

Yeah, that's always an underlying problem for us....He thinks he knows the game as well as or even better than his/our managers.. he even stated that one time... He did, as well as his views on DOF's. And yet people seem to be in the belief that its all changed Yep - the "Ron Noades syndrome&qu...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

Mate, I think it’s fair to say that both Sullivan and Moyes cop their fair share and a bit more when the going gets tough. We then inexplicably absolve Teflon Tim from any blame due to him being new, looking a bit scholarly, his penchant for taking pictures in a plane and because he is called the p...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

Seems reasonable to me. I’m not saying it’s necessarily true but it’s about time Teflon Tim came under a bit of scrutiny for the January debacle - Technical Director and all that. I mean, the club are paying him handsomely to oversee recruitment and he screwed up in January no? Maybe, but it should...

Re: Fan Engagement Plan: WHUST respond to criticism (see page 10)

Can someone tell me if I'm missing something here please. There are a number of groups representing general supporters and minorities on the ISC / proposed FAB, which is great, but it would appear that no one who directly represents season ticket holders as a group? Also that the club does not even...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I believe reason 3 is the one, I don’t know who that will be as I’m not in charge of the club, but they’ve had plenty of time to mull this over, i.e. think about new managers, probably since last seasons conference league cup win when he should have gone in my opinion. All I know, and it’s a big if...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

He said they're talking about it but there is no rush. Whatever that means... Being offered a contract & talking about being offered a contract are 2 different things... Maybe they offered one and he hasn't accepted it and has put alternatives to them? Then he would have been offered a contract...
