Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

We need a couple of left backs. One that is a natural defender with some height for a flat back four and one with pace that can pick a pass when we go 3 at the back. I think it is reasonable and realistic for the second LB to be Masuaku next season. He is by no means a write off for certain games a...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

I have an idea - let’s put our top goal scorer and biggest threat going forward RWB :? . This is beyond ridiculous. It does, I grant you, take a little imagination to consider that Moyes shuffling his pack from time to time might have some positive influence on performance and results. However, I d...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

I would definitely like to see someone else come in, in case Oggy or Diop get injured I think we struggle with this sort of recruitment. If for example we consider Oggy and Diop as our first choice CB's or Haller or Antonio as our first choice CF's then what sort of player should a club of our size...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

We finished the season strongly playing in a formation that worked, so it wouldn't make any sense to switch now, we need continuity, and why would you want to stifle our most effective goal threat in Antonio, by playing him wing back? Certainly the way we set up during the run in is currently our f...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Anderson was at his best with Masuaku behind him making overlapping runs and creating space for Anderson to work his magic. Feels like our current squad personnel is better equip to play 3 at the back. Wonder if Moyes might experiment with this? .........Diop.......Newbie.......Ogbonna...... Antoni...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

No progressive manager would touch us with the board expectation to get West Ham top half with this unbalanced squad Not sure what you are trying to say? A lot of fans heads were turned with the appointment of Pellegrini and he was backed with tens of millions to upgrade the squad. When Pelle left ...

Wouldn't mind him as a Squad member to cover for Soucek, and the CB positions.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Over recent years a majority on here expressed being unconcerned about league position and glory hunting as long as we played some decent stuff. If we had played dreadfully and survived by the skin of our teeth I wonder if the 'celebrations' might have been a bit more muted. As it is we scored a lot...

That’s insane for a 15-20 goals a season striker. I think a team like Bournemouth could do worse than add 15 goals to their squad next season and that must be worth closer to 8m.

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

The really weird thing is that we have a player who scored more goals for QPR than Eze on our books already. If we fancy Eze surely there is a deal to be done with Hugil plus cash? As you rightly say 15 goals for them this year Staggering btw that we have spent 20+ mil on two strikers who have bare...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Whats expected of Moyes in terms of results ? It’s interesting where fans expectations are concerned as for many I think progress is still based on the board/stadium move rather than the manager. ‘Next level’ continues to be quoted my many when we are not doing well. If we are to remove all of the ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Despite spending the best part of £180m the past 2 summer windows, other than maybe Fabianski, Diop and Fornals which of his signings would you even want to stay at the club beyond this season? That only speaks volumes. I personally think we should start having a bit of patience with our players. W...

More than anything I want to retain our core group of players. We obviously need to do some business at fullback but I actually think too much upheaval will be counterproductive to this squad.

Continuity is the word.
