Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

In the good old days, that's just offside. No need to **** about looking at pitchside monitors, waste several minutes reviewing it or have 13 minutes of added-on time.

Killing the game. Absolutely destroying it.

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

Why isn't Daniel "The Sphinx" Kretinsky in the thread title? This bloke appears to be as culpable as the rest of them. He has 'invested' for the sole purpose of making money... Kretinsky's sole investment amounts to considerably more than Sullivan and Gold have put into the club in 14 yea...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

Preview Percy on this afternoon's trip to Wolves.

Team news, this week in football and the inevitable score prediction - but what's he going for this week?

111 not out

That's some innings. Though imagine spending it all in Liverpool... A 111-year-old man from England is now the world’s oldest living man, and said the secret to his longevity is “pure luck”. John Alfred Tinniswood was born in Liverpool on 26 August 1912 – the same year the Titanic sank – and is a gr...

Postecoglou: are the cracks beginning to show? [non WHU]

Struck me as very defensive in this interview. Whilst he makes a fair point regarding better coaching and decision-making, the journalist is essentially right - without sufficient finances available, you simply can't bring in new players and strengthen a squad. Following on from comments from Spurs ...

At least he's not a convicted criminal… "In 1982, Sullivan was convicted of living off immoral earnings of prostitutes. He successfully appealed and was released after serving 71 days in prison..." "In 2018, an HMRC tax tribunal ruled that Sullivan had used West Ham United to avoid p...

Re: Elder Scrolls VI

I'm still in my ESO guilds Discord and what used to be a lively guild with a few hundred members now has barely half a dozen active players. Most of those who left the game have no faith in Bethesda any more. Possibly a bit of what I call "familiarity fatigue" involved there, MH? We get a...
