Most definitely but I don’t think he would have made the difference. Howe chose to go about this game wrong and Botman would have been equally exposed. He’d have handled it better, but he’d have been stretched as well.

This is a hugely naive plan from Howe. He has been chastened here. If he isn’t capable of any tactical flexibility then he is out of his depth.
