Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

bobd_uk wrote: Tue Aug 15, 2023 4:21 pm How can a CB be priority over a striker?
It shouldn’t be, but we have 3 even if one is dead set on leaving. He doesn’t have to leave. Zouma will get hurt and be out for an extended period. Oggy can’t deputize for an extended period. We need another CB.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

I reckon we have time enough for 2 signings and that’s about it. Top 2 priorities now have to be LB and CB. I don’t think we’ll have time for a striker or LW. Possibly a replacement for Paqueta, but I’m not holding my breath.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

fwiw, Romano said in his update that Paqueta is 100% going to City.

Nope. Just re-listened. He was speaking too fast and I misheard. He said City will bid again 100%."

Ergo nothing to see here.

Re: Jesse Lingard

There's a part of me that thinks give someone else a chance. Jess has proven success in the premier league. He has probably a greater record of proven **** in the premier league. Just because someone hasn't played much or at all in the league doesn't mean they won't be able to do it. Sign one of the...

Re: Todays matches

Wolves were great up until they had to shoot. Toothless up front. I don't know what Fabio Silva's deal is but he is the quintessential flatter to deceive player if ever there was one.

The specter of Fergie still haunts the referees at OT. That was a penalty.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

I don't like Bowen at a 9. He's great cutting in from the flank. He creates his own space. But he can't do that as well in the middle. Just go get a ****ing striker ffs. Surely someone is capable of filling the position in our side.

True. I recall Fat Sam making videos for twitter where he was wearing a blindfold, chucking darts at side by side photos of Joey O'Brien and George Friend.

Re: Todays matches

In my preseason prediction table I had Wolves pegged as 18th and relegated. May need to have a re-think about that.

Re: Todays matches

He is overrated at a level I have never seen before. I live in Denmark and even the Danes think so. People think they are getting a Haaland will be very dissapointed. He is going to struggle in this league. 9 goals in 32 games in the Italian league :crylol: And as I understand it he's only scored a...

Re: Jesse Lingard

Thing is, all his nonsense stringing the club along last year almost certainly affected our doing business with other players . Might be a Tim too game to him, but we were trying to put a side together. The difference in character between Lingard and Paquetta is universes apart. I just don’t want a ...

Wolves have been the better side. Can't say I know much about Hojlund, but from what I've read he doesn't seem like he'll be the solution to their striker woes.

Possibility Maguire gets some mins too.
