Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
I think the not allowing parliament to be dissolved until after the Brexit date is less about avoiding no-deal and more about making Boris Johnson limp on as a powerless ineffective PM for as long as possible so as to undermine his election campaign. I think your right and it's utterly disgusting. ...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
The opposition strategy is now clear. Find a topic to focus on and waste as much time as possible on that rather than dealing with the issue at hand. This week themes; Nasty words Shouty men Tenuous links to horrid tweets from internet nut jobs And John Majors vague theories on things that haven't h...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
Corbyn & co will use the next few weeks to bluster & delay until we reach the end of October. BJ will be then forced to go to the EU cap-in-hand asking for an extension. His popularity will plummet amongst the electorate and THEN Corbyn & chums will ask for an election. Brexit needs sort...

He is playing percentages. We may not like it, but I can understand it. We had Allardyce to do that for us. I expected better of this bloke. I think hes a good manager but I don't understand his attitude to the cups. I don't give two shits if we finish 7th or 9th or 12th...I want to win something!!!

They are literally a bunch of scumbags. All of them. None are straight, none think of anything other than pathetic schoolyard points scoring. Boring. Useless. Wastes of space.

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
All of the MPs who have moved from Labour and Conservatives to the Lib Dems recently have done so voluntarily and in the full knowledge that if they stand as Lib Dem candidates at the next election they will be expected to support the party manifesto. So long as they do so, welcome to the party. Bu...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
Can I ask any Lib Dem voters on here what they think of all the Tory defectors being so enthusiastically welcomed into their party?? Surely, with their clearly right of centre political views they are not compatible with Lib Dem values or is the plan to use them to fight Brexit & then hoof them ...

They've had three years to sort this out. What are they going to do with a three month extension that they haven't already??

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
TTS  in the event of Brexit (however orderly) there WILL be massive problems with Hgvs clogging large areas of the country while things settle down. It will be one of the biggest visual manifestations of the problems which will inevitably ensue across the country. In short, it will look amazin...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
on Saturday I spent 4 hours in traffic trying to get from Folkestone to Deal because of Lorries stacked up. Digressing from the subject slightly but the chronic lack of hgv parking, especially in the vicinity of major ports, has existed for many years & largely has nothing to do with Brexit. Su...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
I cannot understand why anybody would want to take No Deal off the table??
You would be negotiating with the EU with one hand tied behind your back. Removing the ability to say "this isn't working for us, we're off" is suicidal!!

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
Maybe I've got this wrong but; 1. The EU say they won't renegotiate under any circumstances, regardless of our new PM's identity. 2. Parliament have rejected leaving with 'no deal'. So, aren't we just stuck with May's deal after all?? Or the EU just f**k us off and we are forced to leave without a d...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Rondon over Mitrovic any day. Fitter, works MUCH harder, better goalscoring record at Premier League level, less prone to committing stupid fouls, better attitude, better in the air & has proven himself as a lone front man which is exactly what we need, especially away from home.

Dave, I make you spot on in what you say. The only thing was your assessment of Wolves. They are mega rich & have Jorge Mendes in their corner attracting top Portuguese talent. They, along with Leicester & Everton are our main competition for 7th next season.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
We need a big striker, preferably one with proven Premier League pedigree.
Giroud or Rondon would be nice.
Also, I've said it before but we should go for Che Adams from Birmingham. A direct replacement & massive upgrade for Hugill in the squad.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
This summer is a massive one for Pellegrini. The recruitment has to be spot on, as has the removal of the deadwood. A lot of it is out of his hands though. He needs a proper budget to work with...can we trust the board to deliver??
