Re: The French corner [non WHU]
No inconvenience at all Misko. Your posts are some of the most interesting to read on this forum. :newthumb: I thought the name Ito rung a bell. He was the standout player for Genk when we played them last season in the Europa league. Japan specialise in producing these Duracell bunny like players w...

Re: ⚽ Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham Utd: match thread
The normal polarisation of views and people going to the extremes of an argument rather than having a reasoned discussion. I have not read one person say that the team should be built around Soucek. I have read that he is not a Premier League player. As always, the answer is somewhere in the middle ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend 500 up
Obviously like Noble but his ambition has been neutralised by the context of his playing career and time at West Ham. Some of the quotes that have come from him since being appointed Sporting Director are awful to read. Or he's just a realist who has learnt not to be tarred with the same brush as h...

Re: ⚽ Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham Utd: match thread
We need to be really careful how we start this game. In our past two fixtures, pretty straight and quite simple balls have been played through our back three that have led to goals or good chances. If we do the same against this lot we will be punished by Kane and Son. It has almost felt like it tak...

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
Special mention for Fabianski who come and claimed a number of high balls, made some quick and accurate throws and shows despite his age why Areola has yet to replace him. I actually thought Bowen was poor. The guy needs to remember what made him the player he is. Spends to much time rolling around ...

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
We need to win this, we need to get at them from the off.. The polar opposite to how we set up and started against them earlier in the season.. We were awful first half sat so deep.. We can beat them but impossible to call what will happen, they have a lot of very good players and could click and a...

Re: What did you watch last night?
I've just started watching Grayson Perry's Full English. I really love his approach. He has a great ability to connect with people in all walks of life with that cracking laugh easing any tension that might have built up.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Blackburn Rovers: match thread
I tend to read more than post. It's interesting to see the change in views of people which I guess is natural considering we're not playing particularly well. Many had declared how we tailed away because the manager stuck with the same players. Now I'm reading he's making too many changes and should...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Blackburn Rovers: match thread
I wasn't loving him when he blazed over an open goal. That wasn't quite an open goal however he should of done much better. What annoyed me more was his pathetic play-acting after a good challenge and then his miraculous recovery a minute later once we had won the ball back. All being said, I don't...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United vs Crystal Palace: match thread
Worst I've seen us for a long time. Palace more than deserved the win, playing some nice football and cutting through us with ease. It was like chalk and cheese watching how they progressively played out from the back from the goalkeeper compared to our botched attempts. They showed the fluidity, co...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
“That’s one thing with our gaffer, literally, he loses his mind (over keeping it tight) – when we concede one he’s like ‘you do not concede two within 10 minutes,” Antonio said about Moyes’ tactics on The Footballer’s Football Podcast when explaining why West Ham will rarely, if ever, be on the end...

Re: Cost of living crisis
Went to Prezzo for the youngest ones birthday earlier in the week. Kids enjoy it and was a good little deal on 3 courses for them from their childrens menu. Two kids meals, a main each for me and the missus and a beer and soft drinks normally set me back £45. This time it was £75 with every single p...

Re: ⚽ Silkeborg IF v West Ham United: match thread
We're quick to call out opposition for rolling around and going down easily. Disappointingly I saw a lot of it from us in that half. Is this part of getting used to playing European football?

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v FCSB: match thread
Its not about resting, more acknowledging the amount of games we have coming up, and managing playing time. We didnt play our best team once in the Europa league group stages, and I cant imagine that changing for the conference league. Itll be a mixture of first team names like Rice, Bowen etc mixe...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen
I think he's spent a lot of time on his arse this season, complaining about non-fouls. It probably rubbed off on him when playing with England. He needs to get back to doing what he does best which is working his nads off, not giving the opposition a minutes rest and attacking the spaces.

Re: The Sack Race 2022/2023: Tuchel fired
I think it would be silly for Potter to go there. He's onto a good thing at Brighton which of course, he's played a part in. I think that sort of job suits him. There's no ego and he seems to have overall authority and control over most aspects at the football club. That simply wouldn't happen at Ch...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v FCSB: match thread
Why do we need to rest players? We've just started the season.
We should play our best team, giving the new players further opportunity to integrate into our system, familiarise themselves with some of their longer serving team mates and understand one anothers preferences and patterns of play.

Re: Season Tickets and digital ticketing
My season ticket vanished just before the Spurs game.It was in my Apple wallet but now it has gone. I don’t use the wallet for anything else. However, you can just download your ticket and print it and that is what I’ll be doing in future. So much easier. Have you checked expired passes? That's whe...

Re: VAR Thread
I don't think the PL want to fix the standard of refereeing or VAR. I think they like it when there's controversial decisions that create a lot of talking points and thus column inches and content for youtube creators. It plays into their "most exciting league" branding. Plus of course th...
