Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Burnley: match thread
In spite of the social media melt down I don't feel we were THAT bad, we have an inherent problem when trying to break down teams and that has been the way for as long as I can remember to the point we move the ball around the box a little then just launch in a cross regardless of having players in ...

Re: Andriy Yarmolenko
For his goal just watch him when Rice clears the ball he’s on his bike right away pushing into the gap left by Alonso (which happened all game as their wing backs pushed forward)
I wonder if that was premeditated from the bench or instinct. Either way it was something we have been missing!

Re: Sayonara, Socios
good point made in your video UTJ, I understand the point of these partnerships is to elevate brands so it's to be expected to have some unknowns in the bunch but we have many shall we say 'questionable' partnerships that vanish within 6 months I wonder what each side get out of it?

I genuinely think the vast majority of people who have issues with the message could have been avoided had they gone with "Black lives matter too"
When you have to explain your 'slogan' the key message gets lost.

Re: Felipe Anderson
I don't believe he is the player many think he is. I was sure from his first few games he had bags of pace and would be bombing down the wing linking play and causing all sorts of trouble. Sadly he just doesn't, It was very strange on Saturday he seemed to purposefully NOT find space, hid from the b...

I fear this will be even less of a derby without the fans, two international elevens playing in a silent stadium
We desperately need points regardless of the opposition.

I only paid £24 for 6 of us to go... even that was too much for what was served up. Absolutely abysmal performance.

Taking all 4 kids and the wife... not quite sure why, I must be mad! still only cost me £24; cheaper than the cinema and a day out in that there London with the family.
hopefully some light relief from the league, I dont expect much though.

Re: Who Next? The odds
I think the bigger question is who is prepared to work under these owners? It’s all well and good wishing for x y & z but Given the lack of squad depth, meddling in transfers, sly leaks, Brady’s column, lowballing transfer offers.... I could go on. I know people laugh at the mention football vid...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread
Isn’t VAR supposed to correct ‘clear and obvious’ errors or is that just a buzz word because if it took the bloke at VAR towers nearly 5 mins to work out of it was on or offside then it’s clearly not clear or obvious That aside we didn’t do enough to win, palace sat in and defended very well essenti...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread
The first 20 mins or so felt like we were a little hesitant to get at them, though they created little in the final 3rd we gave them a lot of space and when we did have the ball were trying to be a little too 'cute' rather than playing the simple balls. All in all a good result but for me a lot of f...

Re: FIFA 20
I skipped the last two years of Football games, was tempted by FIFA as I have never gotten on with PES. I enjoyed the demo they have put out, plays a nice 'brand' of football imo fast and exciting. I cant say I have ever 'got' Ultimate team. I just want to play as west ham, sure I could try to remak...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread
I may come to regret this but this isn't a 'typical' Manchester utd. we're accustomed to. I don't feel there is anything to fear, keeper aside they have a decidedly average squad. Get at them and go for the jugular.

An interesting line up with injuries already after the first game, hopefully our technical players can make an impact and with their back line perhaps it could be a day we get awarded a penalty or two.... maybe anyway

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
I'd be tempted to shift him back out wide to his actual position, he's had a good spell as a make shift striker but I still feel his key attributes are better suited on at the 'inside forward' role either driving forward or cutting inside drawing players to him leaving space in the box for the likes...

Our season is over, nothing left to play for as good as safe. there is no motivation for them to invest at all.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Birmingham City: match thread
I do find it funny that the measure of support is how much and how loud you sing a (mostly) toneless song, I mean I get it its the atmosphere at football and I join in when its around me but in not other part of my life is my commitment judged in this way. it's even weirder when other fans sing a so...

Re: Andy Carroll
Thanks to FIFA my 7yr old lad idolises Andy Carroll; he thinks he's mustard. He was chuffed to bits to see him score yesterday. Carroll is the kind of player I want to see do well I cant help but feel sorry for the guy with his injuries although he didn't play well yesterday often yards behind the p...
