Re: Trump

No matter how many times you think to yourself "He can't make things any worse" he somehow manages to pull it out of the bag.

Re: Coronavirus

Since we don't have a para-military police force like Italy does in the Carabineiri , it is going to be interesting to see how each of our 43 different constabularies interpret social gatherings . They are already over stretched on the ground as it is Started work last night at 22:00, expecting Bos...

Re: Coronavirus

8.30pm government address, BBC One Expecting announcement of a total lockdown. I have to agree with this as yesterday afternoon I was deployed to an incident where people out walking across heathland were complaining of people on scrambler motorbikes riding dangerously. Left me wondering what any o...

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

OK first half, some decent interchanges.

We need to get the ball in the box a little bit quicker this half.

There is no way a picture like that could be taken today.

Innocent times.

EDIT

Brilliant, in the time between seeing the bath picture and my post a new picture has appeared.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Been off here for a while and been trying to catch up with posts. The last few have been about finding yourself single after a long term relationship/ marriage. This happened to me on the day Diana died. The next week was the worst week of my life. I worked in London and had to drive in from outskir...

Re: when do coincidences stop being coincidences?

So i wonder is there anyway a women or man can know that if a partner they are with has a history of being around child abuse, I understand Sarah law but I believe someone on that would have been convicted of child abuse to be on it? And if not should there not be, my abuser a had already believed ...

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19

I really just don't get what Pellets & the club are doing here, we have a high pressing free flowing game with pace & power. Why the hell would we want Dzeko & Zlatan, goes against everything that club is trying to achieve, balancing the books nothing else, Arnie isn't just a striker, h...

Re: A thread to discuss depression and other mental issues...

Just listened, again, to an interview on 6Music with Matt Haig, it was originally on during World Mental Health Day. Excellent interview about Mental Health, I should imagine it is on iPlayer somewhere.

He also has a book, Notes on a Nervous Planet, for those that could benefit.

Re: A thread to discuss depression and other mental issues...

Sometimes, people don't seek help because, secretly, they're afraid/convinced that they're that one person about whom even the professionals will say, "Nah mate, you really are beyond help, beyond hope. We can help most cases, but you... you're ****ed. And you're right, you'd probably be bette...

Re: A thread to discuss depression and other mental issues...

No I'm far too ashamed to speak to anyone professional or otherwise. I know its illogical and the people who matter will only ever want to help and won't think any less of me but its a feeling I just can't shift. I live with it day to day, sometimes its barely noticeable, other days I feel like the...

Re: A thread to discuss depression and other mental issues...

I should be in for one of the happiest moments of my life - my first kid is due any day now. So far so good with Mum and baby but I've started to feel the anxiousness and depression creep back a bit, not helped by my desire to do exercise reducing. I'm so looking forward to becoming a Dad but for s...
