Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
Perfectly reasonable for MP's to want to stretch it out in order to make plans for a new job, but this........ https://twitter.com/hewitson10/status/1767994000911294878?t=e_ei2W5zfMDOKDZclnzJcQ&s=19 That's a wow even by their standards. I'll para-phrase ... "**** the country, we can't sort...

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
Here's an idea. Blackpool South MP Scott Benton is on a recall petition If that goes through, Offer Boorish Johnson the chance to defend the seat(maj 3690) IF he wins it, re instate him as party leader, on the basis that if he wins there he might turn the Tories fortunes around. As somebody who wan...

on the radio earlier said Hoyle may have deliberately ignored her to save her from herself given some of her recent ramblings........ Did he mention she has diabetes, which if she gets the medicines for wrong can lead to her slurring/ sounding pissed, etc ... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Was reading on here in December we can compete for top 6. Now I'm reading 11th is about our par. Both extremes. Absolutely. But that says nothing about Moyes or the team/ squad. They're no different apart from the addition of Philips. It does say something about the fickleness/ ignorance/ knee-jerk...

Re: Calling All Reading Supporters !
WHLS - thanks for the offer but I don't like the inflatable-obsessed Reading. However if you are happy to buy things and then straightaway give them away, can I have a car pretty please?

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
Is it too soon to put a bet on Anderson joining the Lib Dems? :) If he keeps his current trajectory, the BNP is more likely. (I only half 'jest'). The budget has not affected the polls one iota. They are still flat-lining. I suspect that Anderson joining Reform may well encourage another chunk of T...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I've already said I wasn't down playing it. I made my comment before going through the last three or four pages of this thread. I note that my (later-than-his) comments were pretty much identical to those of UTJ's, who by coincidence also clearly referred to the down-playing of the trophy and Totte...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I've got no idea why you are so upset with acknowledging it's a third tier trophy. It doesn't diminish the achievement in any way nor the enjoyment of watching us win it. So you weren’t watching Corrie then? Thanks for the lesson but I already knew that the ECL isn’t on a par with the CL or EL, but...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Thanks Pete but I watched in on ITV catch up when I came home from Prague. If I’d have realised in advance that it was only a “third tier” trophy I wouldn’t have bothered making the journey.

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24
The bigger difference was actually playing far more aggressively and putting that weak defence under pressure. ... and my point is that with with the small nucleus of tried and trusted, reliable players if we were to do that all the time, or even more of the time then the players would be even more...

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24
The amount of similar comments on here along the lines of why can't we play in the first half, like we do ing the second is pretty depressing coming from this fan-base. Does anyone think that with a small first team nucleus that we can go full tilt at every game in both halfs, Sunday, Thursday, Sund...

Phew! For one horrible moment I feared it was, uh, made of latex. If this young chap such object, I’d wager the tip of it is shaped like Trump’s face with all of its lumps and bumps for added pleasure. I think I’ve hit on the way to belatedly make my fortune as I reckon I might be able to find a ma...

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
Labour always get held to a higher account then the Tories. When asked about how the plan to fund the abolition of NI might be funded yesterday, Sunak wouldn't answer. He just said “I think what people can see from me, I think they trust me on these things, is that I will always do this responsibly...

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
Rachel Reeves getting more of a grilling on Sky News about the abolition of NI than any Tory has in the last 24 hours. It's like this lot play politics on easy mode most of the time. It's just the way it is DDA. Labour always have to account for every penny - the Tories don't have to. There was a w...

Re: The Labour Party Thread
Not a chance Dave I think people's perception on this stuff depends who someone mixes with Viv. I remember a bloke on here who was convinced we are a right wing set of islands because his golf club mates were all right-wing. It's complicated but always useful to see what the public as a whole think...
