Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread
Very reminiscent of Moyes last spell with us and a very defensive looking set up with basically an 8/3 split. Doubt today will be at all pretty but hopefully we can find a way to win it

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
I saw a graph on Twitter of outstanding transfer fees owed to each Premier League club. Maybe this is the new policy to only buy from clubs who owe us money to save Sully a few (more) quid? In that case we should consider where outstanding fees still are. Outlandish, yes. Beyond Sullivan? God I hope...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
An average goalkeeper who nobody missed when he left last time returning after 3 weeks of failing medicals still being signed whilst out injured for a nominal fee, most of which is owed to us from the initial transfer anyway is the most West Ham signing ever. Hellllllooooo Dave! Also best of luck Da...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Howe may have spent a bit but their wage bill is considerably less than ours and their highest paid player is on half what ours is. For Moyes, it will be interesting to see who we get in over the next few weeks and our results til the end of this month. It may be short termist but I feel January cou...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
I feel slightly responsible for a lot of the Cullen stuff. My point wasn't how Cullen should be starting, more statistically he has outperformed Joe Allen in almost every stat this season playing in 2 very similar situations. At least Cullen would have a better age profile for a new signing FWIW I d...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
I remember a few people on here suggesting Moise Kean during the summer... he's not turned out to well has he? And there was huge disappointment when we didn't go for Dendonker... yet in the end, only Wolves really showed interest and the player looked slow and a bit rubbish for most of his first 1...

Re: Pablo Fornals
Not many Spanish players hit the ground running in the Premier League. Not saying he will be as good by any stretch but I remember David Silva taking 6 months to settle and get used to the physicality.
I think Fornals could be better than Lanzini ever has been for us

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Am sure it's been mentioned before, but if trying to sign Allen, then why not give Cullen a shot, or is that final proof that the powers aren't convinced Cullen is good enough? I presume Coventry isn't ready yet. As previously stated Cullen outranks Joe Allen in almost every stat both offensively a...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Interesting option. According to Whoscored Cullen beats Allen in pretty much every stat in the Championship this season. That is the level Allen is currently playing at.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Joe Allen would improve the first 11. I think he would end up a regular. He was good enough to be in the UEFA Team of the Tournament at Euro 2016 when Wales reached the semis. If anything, he has been too loyal to Stoke. He could have got a move away when they were relegated, but chose to stay and ...

Re: Gillingham v West Ham United: FAC3 Match Thread
Let's be fair. For most of that first half we had three at the back, with the full backs pretty much playing as wingers. 3 crosses from our "wingers" first half yet 7 clearances between them. As I said before credit for changing it and getting higher up the pitch 2nd half when both of the...

Re: Gillingham v West Ham United: FAC3 Match Thread
So another positive step as far as I'm concerned when it comes to Moyes bringing me inside. Strong team is a plus but I did have concerns 5 at the back against a League One side having just out in out most effective attacking performance of the season last time out. The line up just gave me some pre...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Bournemouth: Match thread (01/01)
Liking the higher press. More reminiscent of the first few games of this season. Bournemouth as bad as I can remember. In real trouble May reserve judgement on how much progress we've made until Gillingham & Sheff Utd but signs are good. Oh... and 2nd half would be the perfect time to get the pr...

Re: Board vs Pellegrini [POLL]
4 years on from our move from Upton Park and we are in a rinse and repeat cycle of investment, followed by penny pinching. I see no reason why the same wouldn't happen with a new manage so therefore the blame has to be with the board. Couple of fun stats: When we left UP we had just finished above L...

I am trying to work out what will possess me to watch this on Saturday because really there should be nothing to make me want to sit through this as I can only see one outcome and it really isn't a pretty one... Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)
They have not lost a game yet this season by more than a goal so very unlikely we will "roll them over" On paper this looks like an awful game for our technically gifted players that don't really like a scrap but I have a sneaky confidence based on nothing at all that we will win this one....

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread
Really disappointing for me. I thought we got sucked in to playing their pace, especially first half where it was painfully slow. Every time we put a bit of pace in or play we caused a problem for them. Sadly we didn't do it often enough. At 1-0 I thought there was only one winner but even that didn...

Re: ⚽ AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread
I was thinking the same today. Or failing that do the same for Mcginn if Villa go. British too With Watford looking increasingly relegat-y there should be a laser-focused tapping up effort starting now to convince Doucoure to play his football here next season. It will probably take a Haller-like fe...

Re: ⚽ AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread
Looking forward to the hysteria on here and doom mongering after last night. If it's any consolation to you all they feel the same based on their cup exit with a whimper to League 1 oppo. Bro in law is a Bournemouth fan so get all the news and expect another close game here. Interesting that accordi...
