Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Newcastle Utd: match thread

Absolutely gutless performance. Frederick's and Ogbonna our best players in the first half. The most telling scene was watching the players come out down the tunnel for the 2nd half. The Newcastle players strode out purposefully as a group. Our lot trudged out, like watching a factory shift unenthus...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Aston Villa: match thread

Really surprised Moyes didn't use the opportunity to give a few of the youngsters a go today.
Anderson looks like he won't be here next year. And Haller didn't show much hunger today.
Busy summer ahead.

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Great first half.
Pogba should have been booked for simulation aka cheating trying to make out he got hit in the face.
For once VAR vindicates itself though took far too long to spot the obvious

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Though I wasn't happy about his re-appointment I had respect for him after the Masuaku after his spitting incident where Moyes, unlike Wenger, condemned him outright. Decent human being

Re: ⚽ Arsenal v West Ham Utd: match thread

Just watching MOTD on the Antonio - Haller mess up with the goal at their mercy, feel Haller was clearly at fault for not stalling his run to create the space for an easy pass back. Felt sorry for Antonio, Clearly unlucky with his being in front of goal and keeper pulling off a good save from the he...

Re: ⚽ Cardiff City v West Ham Utd (9/3)

Was at the game today.
Fabianski, Diop and Ogbonna played well.

Snodgrass, Hernandez, Arnie, Cresswell, sadly Lanzini and Anderson poor today.

Shame we didn't start with Antonio and Nasri.

Didn't deserve anything today.
Credit to our away support though.

We need a Plan B against lesser teams.

Where does everyone usually drink for this one? Loads of good beer pubs in Westgate Street just opposite Cardiff central station and alongside the Millennium stadium - Tiny Rebel, Zero Degrees Think you can get temproary membership of the Casino that's on the retail park next tothe stadium. Re: Andy Carroll

Why don't we make more of a fuss in the media on how opposing defenders are trying to get him booked/sent off insinuating through their play acting he's elbowed them or similar when there has been minimal protection. I'm not his greatest fan and think if he has a role it's as an impact sub, but the ...

Re: Declan Rice

He's growing in class with every game.

Sadly get the feeling he's been tapped up and everyone in the know knows this - hence 'final offer' on contract.

Mind you, the Irish must be kicking themselves too for not getting him in sooner as a fully-fledged international.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Just to put things in perspective.
I have just come back from working in Germany for a week where I watched 2 games.
Beer was just €3 as were brautwurst.

And that's with a crap exchange rate and a higher cost of living.

Why do we put up with rip off prices?

Re: Andy Carroll

The issues are: Could we sell him? - doubt it If we keep what is his role? - good points made earlier here that you can't build your team around him. He's therefore an impact sub Does keeping him mean there's an opportunity cost - it ties up funds that could be used elsewhere? Suspect cost of paying...

Which of our former World Cup players would you have back?

Just watching Behrami play for Switzerland tonight think that I wouldn't mind having him back with us.

Any thoughts on any of our ex-players on show at the World Cup?

Re: Chelsea v West Ham United: Match Thread

A great point if not necessarily a great, park the bus performance. A couple of players were outstanding today - Nobes, Hart, Rice, Ogbonna, Arnautovic, even Cresswell A couple were nondescript Mario, Fernandes And Masuaka was dreadful, not putting a decent pass in or getting a half decent challenge...
