Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?
I've always felt he's too limited as a footballer to ever have 'legend's status bestowed upon him but he's been phenomenal this season, especially since being made captain. What he lacks in football ability he more than makes up for with his drive, passion, and all-action, combative displays. He see...

Re: West Ham Utd v Newcastle Utd: Match Thread
Just realised that Newcastle only had 2 English players in their 18-man squad and one of them was their unheard-of reserve keeper.

I had Noble as my MOTM - he's playing quite a different game under Bilic. Gets forward way more. Shame about his paceironfireman wrote:Thought nobes was immemse in the 2nd half! True captains performance

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
yeah I'm possibly being very harsh, I guess the cynicsm also stems from Obiang, Lanzini and Ogbonna all being unknown quantities. But if they can all replicate yesterday's performances on a consistent basis, then yeah, the window will suddenly have seemed a lot more successful!

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
I'm totally confused as to whether we have any actual money to spend. On the one hand we're moving for cheapo stop-gaps and loans like Jelavic and Adebayor, then we're being linked with new £10m moves for Hernandez. Got to be honest, I've always given our owners the benefit of the doubt and I have b...

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Player who I think would be awesome for us (barring inevitable injury probs) and who will probably end up being marginalised at Arsenal is Danny Wellbeck.
Maybe one for next summer

Wondered who that was because he didn't look like one of ours. I wondered if there'd maybe been some altercation on the benchCHAZHAMMER wrote:

Re: Manuel Lanzini
If he shows he's as good as he did today on a consistent basis then we'd better make that loan permanent before the season's up for fear of others having a sniff!
I thought he had an incredible game - great skill and purpose, and was making crucial tackles too!

Re: Friday's news & gossip 28th August (includes WHU)
So basically it looks like andy carroll comes to west ham, plays about 30 matches in three years, gets paid £120k p/w then ****'s off to spain. The last time we had a decent striker who wanted to play for us was probably tony cottee. The ageing 30-something TC rather than the 21-year-old TC who pis...

Re: Friday's news & gossip 28th August (includes WHU)
"Sevilla would have had an obligation to buy Carroll for £8.6m (€12m) if he played 60 per cent of their games" WTF??? What would have happened then if by some crazy twist of fate AC ended up remaining injury free and scoring a ton of goals, which I personally think he'd be capable of? We w...

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Green always struck me as a really good bloke, so what if he's quiet and not an atypical footballer. That comment probably said far more about the player who said it rather than Green.West Ham Matt wrote:Swear someone else who played for us said Green was a bit of a prick.

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Thanks Jinxed. Out of curiosity, why would Green want to return when presumably he'd most likely be back-up to Adrian? I thought he rejected Chelsea because he didn't want to be second choice?
Green's a good keeper who should still be a first choice at a decent club imo

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
I wonder what happens behind the scenes when Carlton is released. I mean, does no other club want him? Will he only play at a certain level? Does he even have an agent?

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United: Match Thread
Wenger, always with the excuses: “West Ham were a bit ahead of us because they had played many competitive games. Preparation is preparation, you never get that same intensity, but overall well done West Ham and we have to keep our focus.” Full of ****, this guy. We've played awful in the Europa Qu...

Quick subject change - who's the guy who sits next to Bilic on the bench, with longish, blonde hair?
