In fairness, he looked a decent player when I saw him.
He cost 7mil to wolves

Re: Summer 2010 Transfer Talk/Rumours

He seemed to give tompkins the run around enough when we played portsmouth at home, yes maybe he didnt score but tompkins struggled with him and most people on here tend to think tompkins is a decent player. So for 2million i dont think it is that bad, plus since when has this market been depressed?...

Re: Summer 2010 Transfer Talk/Rumours

Pav has no potential at all, he's pushing 29 and is at the peak of his career. He's clearly a very good player but for £14m has been a big flop for T*ttenham and they are notorious for taking the piss when selling players. They'd probably want at least £11m which would be a stupid deal for us. [ Wo...

Re: sunday's gossip 16th may includes west ham now updated

Grant could take Portsmouth best with him to West Ham I'm sorry but Green really is one of the most overated goalkeepers and is distinctly average. He is still crap on crosses and is 50/50 on his positioning. For £5mil and saving wages around £50k p/w he's worth letting go of. I hope cole stays tho...

Would be nice to sign off with a win but I think this will be a 1-1 draw.
Diamanti on the wing, with noble on the other :thdn:

Re: Everton vs West Ham Utd: match thread

I'm still scratching my head how our number one striker Cole (who is in the last chance saloon for the WC squad) fails to make any effort to take a penalty and leaves it to a £1000 a week on loan striker who isn't considered good enough for Smogsboro. Baffling. Cole has never been our penalty taker...

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United Match Thread

Yes he is a good penalty taker but if you put it in the same side everytime then sooner or later you are going to get found out, like with his penalty today [ Yeah? He'd scored 4 from 4. Besides the penalty he scuffed, wasn't he going for the left side? :P I stand by my point. If he's confident goi...

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United Match Thread

I love it. Diamanti and predictable in the same sentence  It was a cracking save. There's being predictable and then there's scoring your last 4 penalties so do what you're confident doing. It worked for him the last 4 penalties. That scored us important goals. Yes he is a good penalty taker b...

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United Match Thread

Its called being predictable I agree stu, goalkeepers will study these things, with nothing to lose Almunia may aswell go with the 'safe' option of the direction the penaltys have been shot on previous occassions, unless it's at a decent height (this wasn't, it was comfortable for almunia) the goal...

Re: Booo!!

Because it's ridiculous. It does nothing. It has no positive effect. I think I may be on my own here but I don't think the team today looked like they weren't interested and certainly weren't bad enough to boo. God knows how bad we would to be for you to boo. We was terrible as sky sports said our ...

Re: West Ham V Birmingham City Match Thread

I respect your opinion but I disagree with you mate. Right now I think Zola has the midfield well balanced and sorted for the time being. I feel that Noble should only play if Parker is injured and Collison plays if Diamanti is injured . It's not that they are terrible players or anything but it se...

Re: West Ham V Birmingham City Match Thread

Green Faubert Tomkyins Upson Illunga Behrami Parker Kovac Collinson Ilan Cole Collinson and Behrami were charging down the wings last season..I just think the tactics are wrong. That midfield just doesnt work, who links to attack? We cant hit a barn door with such a negative midfield in every game!...

Re: Alessandro Diamanti

f*** all  Just heard it the other day and thought it was pretty good Still don't see Diamanti as a striker though. I see him as one of those players who comes to England as a striker but then gets pushed wide. i.e Kuyt Diamanti's natural instinct is to shoot when he gets a slight sight of goal...
