Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady
Let us all be under no illusions. No-one is saying we'd be strolling to Dublin if we'd spent some money in January, or kept Fornals and Benrahma. However the fact that we have no squad and next to no attacking options from the bench that can turn games like last night against Leverkusen - or at leas...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Are we really back to digging Moyes for not being able to get a tune out of the clearly unhappy and frankly lazy Scamacca?
We really need to be digging Sullivan for not bringing in a replacement for him, or for Kehrer, or for Benrahma, or for Fornals.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Spot on. Thing is, this is nothing new with Sullivan. He has done it at least 2 or 3 times previously when we’ve had a chance to kick on. I dont doubt he looked at January, saw a chance to save money on Fornals and Benrahma, knowing we were safe in the league. All they care about is keeping the PL ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
When you have teammates line Antonio where he couldn’t trap a bag of cement it’s more likely to cannon of his shin. Do you blame him for holding on to it and losing it. You have watched Paqueta, right? All too often he makes silly, lazy moves that have no excuse. He's as capable of brilliance as he...

Why? It's in line with how much he keeps the ball.Bubbles the monkey wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 8:10 am Imagine being Paqueta, rock up at rush green glorified portacabins and 30% possession. He must be livid at his agent.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
He was poor overall last night. Offered little except petulance and a red card risk. He's one of those players that when he's on it, hes great, but when he's not he's basically a passenger. I can't see Man City paying £85m for a player that only turns up half of the time and throws a strop on the pi...

Changes need to be made. We need fresh legs for this, not tired ones from last night.
I doubt Moyes will though.

Moyes tactics were spot on last night, and they almost worked but for a bit of fortune for them at the end. Leverkusen are just an excellent side that it’s hard to keep the ball against. Their pressing was relentless.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Well that was frustrating. We almost made it to the end, but for a lucky shin job scuffed shot that bobbled through a crowd of players that Fab might have chucked his cap on had he see it. The header from a corner for the second just rubbed salt in. It’s that goal that might prove too much for us, 0...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
We're about to play in our third European quarter final in three years. A feat unheard of for West Ham. In a few hours we'll be going toe to toe with what is currently one of the best teams in European football in a full competitive fixture. This is some of the best times we've ever had. Not just be...

And whilst you still won’t find me using phrases like Sends’ “the world’s gone mad” having dealt with this particular individual I’m sorely tempted. I'm generally a "live and let live" kind of person, and honestly what other people do with their lives is of no consequence to me, but it fe...

I for one am amazed that ex-Arsenal player and Arsenal fan Martin Keown thinks Arsenal should have been awarded a last minute, match winning penalty.

Re: Anything nice to say about Millwall?
To be fair, all their fans that I know are decent enough. I think I prefer them to Arsenal or Spurs fans, most of whom are proper muggy. I've never met a Millwall fan that thinks they're better than they are. They know they're ****, but they keep supporting their team regardless. Then again, they ar...
