Might give this one a swerve.

There's only so much sycophantic, smoke blowing up the a**e of Ronaldo I can suffer.

Re: 🏆Match #31: Group G - Brazil v Switzerland (28/11/22, 4pm)

Someone as bad as ours eh. About 5/10 minutes ago the commentator on ITV (can't remember his name; don't care), comes out with the most cliched, obvious comment with the game at 0-0: "Well this game needs a goal". Of course the f**king game needs a goal, because if every game finished 0-0,...

Re: Little things that irritate you

You don’t have to play that game. Does your current phone still do everything you need it to, if yes and you don’t feel the need to be seen with the latest model, just go sim only and save a bunch of spondooliks. I did this a couple of years ago. Bought my phone from Apple and then told Vodafone I ...

As a neutral, I enjoyed that!

The African teams are like a breath of fresh air. It feels like: "F**k it. Let's just go out there and play football"

Re: World cup. Anyone unexpectedly enjoying it?

Am I enjoying it? Well I'm watching it, but I'm not exactly scheduling my life around catching every game.

I think one of the things that is taking the shine off the whole competition is the behind-the-scenes grubbiness of it all.

Buy one thing online and you’ll get bombarded. I don’t recall the last meaningful e-mail I received. But this is it Jim. I can pretty much stomach and instantly delete the emails leading up to "Black Friday" (another American import), but when "Black Friday" was done and dusted ...

Deano for me.

As tragic as his injury was for us, had he'd stayed fit and become one of the best strikers in The Premier League, we wouldn't have had him very long anyway.

Great result for Morocco.

For all the big names and shear quality Belgium have had in their squads over the years, they've got to be one of the biggest underachievers in World football.

Re: Stoppage Time

In Germany they have a technology where teh advertising shown on the adversiting hoardings is different for TV viewers in England than what is actually being shown on the hoardings in the ground If I remember correctly, F1 mooted this idea quite a few years ago. The basic principle was that all the...

Re: Stoppage Time

I bloody hope so, as I reckon if the players packed in the time wasting as they'd know it would be added on anyway that we don't end up with a clock stop method. I do like the added on time in this tournament, but I do think if it was implemented into domestic football, it would be open to (ahem) f...

Not really watching it with much intent, but from what I have seen, it looks a more exciting game than last night.

........And is it me, or has Ian Rush lost his Scouse accent over the years? From what I seem to remember, you almost needed subtitles when he was interviewed.

As p**s poor of a game it was last night, there is a very tiny bit of me that understands that maybe Southgate and Co. did their homework on The USA and set up "not to lose". If you're going to do this again during the tournament and/or going forward in future competitions Gareth, could yo...
