Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)

We have seen today our defensive problems from last season have carried over.Wrong formation and wrong tactics for this fixture. If we keep playing this formation we will concede bucket loads as we didn’t sign a quality DM.I don’t count 32yo Sanchez as quality.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)

I think he will start instead of Fredericks at right back I don’t agree the manager knows Liverpool have lighting quick forwards,I can’t see him playing a slow 33yo ahead of the younger and faster Fredericks.I said before last seasons fixture we would get murdered with him and Evra as our full back...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 3 days remaining

I don't remember Fonte making so many glaring errors. That clown gave away so many penalties because of his lack of pace. Why do you think Southampton didn’t want to give him a 3 year contract at 33? Despite him doing well previously for them imo they knew he was shot! What we done was a very bad de...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 6 days remaining

Fabianski Fredericks Balbuena Ogbonna Masuaku Noble Wilshere Anderson Bernard Yarmolenko Arnautovic That’s a front 4 no one will want to deal with. Wingbacks that are terrifying in defence and attack. And a midfield that anyone would fancy being able to outmuscle and outrun. Luckily they won’t have...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018--9 days remaining

I have a question

Last year we finished 13th on 42 points with a GD of -20 if we finish next season in say 12th on 40 points with the same GD. Did we improve or did the competition get weaker?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 11 days remaining

Hey mate, some stuff on here yesterday afternoon about him going there on loan (Villa), which to be honest doesn't make much sense, unless we need the space and wages If we can’t sell him another loan for a £2m fee like last year would mean we have recouped £4m of the £7.5m we paid for him so that ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 11 days remaining

Have we really done enough to stop leaking goals in the way we have for the past 2 seasons ? We have replaced two 34 year olds with two younger players which is a good start. My main concern is our central midfield, because the new manager wants to play a back 4 and with our current midfield options...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 27 days remaining

A team that is too small, too slow, too short on work ethic. It was frequently too open on balance as well, and lacked resolve away from home when things got a bit rough meaning 2 goal defeats turned into 3s and 4s. It's critical that we have two 'stoppers' in midfield if we are treating the full b...

Re: Andy Carroll

Time is ticking for him only one year left on his contract surely even our useless owners are not stupid enough to take up the two year option ? Welcome to the scrap heap where you belong big man in 2019.He will be happy more time to drink and ‘party’ without inconvenience of earning his wages by pl...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 35 days remaining

Nicely timed leak by the board on the Payet rumour. This is a distraction from yet another failed marquee transfer which has involved a fee higher than £30m for the 3rd year running. Lacazette Carvalho and Anderson all three were intestested in coming to us as we offered higher wages than they were o...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 43 days remaining

I see reports today that Man Utd interest in arnie has ended. So now I am expecting the Anderson deal to collapse soon.Even though it shouldn’t there should be enough money without the sale of Arnie.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 43 days remaining

It’s gone quick because it’s only 7 years Nolan was signed 2011.I agree with TPP price inflation though 2011 £4m is more like £15/16m in today’s market.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 44 days remaining

I guess this is a bit of a stupid question but does anyone actually know if Hugill is any good. Everyone seems to want to sell him but he hasn't really been given a chance. For Preston in the championship he scored 23 goals in 103 games so about 1 in 5 which for a striker is poor.It is fairly obvio...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 45 days remaining

Spot on HH all of the clubs money should be reinvested back into the club! Not into the owners private bank accounts like the £16m interest they stole from the club,it especially makes me angry when you see Mike Ashley charges 0% on his loans to Newcastle whilst being a spurs fan. The priority is th...
