The favourite one liner of a lazy journalist / pundit. His mates at talkSport (yeah I know..) will be out in force backing ‘Davie’ like they did with Allardyce.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Our board won't pay the compensation, and he'll probably want the promotion on his CV. He's just started his management career, he'll be cautious before leaving a good thing at Burnley, especially seeing Lampard and Gerrard leave Derby and Rangers and flop. Fair points Bubbles, I yearn for somebody...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Moyes looks defeated, stale and unable to inspire. Kompany has a proven winning mentality and would be a bright, positive appointment, akin to Viera at Palace. Rafa’s best days are past and as much as I loved Scott as a player, the fit doesn’t seem quite right just now.

Been a tough last twenty-four hours, my user name and year relates to the iconic Walt Jabsco 2-Tone character and ‘79 when it all began. Enjoyed reading the posts and brings it home just how much that era and the genre impacted the lives of so many of us of that generation. I grew up in Hackney with...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I’m not a fan of Moyes’ football or his failure to get the best out of the players at his disposal in the same way I sense a Howe or a pre-Chelsea Potter would. If he goes I’d only want Pochettino (dream on) and if the alternative was some unheard of untried manager from the lower echelons of German...

No excuses for them to not give this everything with the break coming up. If they don’t, it will speak volumes about how they feel about Moyes.

Pochettino. Sense he’s a good fit for West Ham, engaging character and plays attractive football. Why United didn’t get him ahead of Solskajer god only knows. The guy got Spurs to a CL final and regular top four place, all while on a transfer embargo from Levi to fun a new stadium. Then got pillorie...

Bish all day long. Creative and stylish midfielder in the West Ham mode. Fond memories of Stuart in his golden period around early ‘91 when he moved to an attacking left sided midfielder and tore Everton apart in the FA Cup quarter final that season.

Solid performance which got the job done. Agreed, curious substitutions, I would have given Rice and Scammaca a complete rest. Most of the visiting European contingent over the past two years have created a far more invigorating atmosphere than the majority of PL clubs’ fans. The problem is, many ha...

Re: VAR Thread
Takes way too long for a confirmed decision. No accountability. If it goes to VAR then let that person make the final decision much like the third umpire and instruct the referee accordingly. Confusion reigns at present.

Re: VAR Thread
Considering the high price and protection which the PL and their Sky paymasters put on their brand, I’m amazed they’ve allowed this farce to continue for so long. It’s making the game look amateurish and turning people off. As an aside, how are these decisions taking so long? The third umpire decisi...

New to the PL centre backs having a difficult start looks like a current trend. Bournemouth, Chelsea and Man Utd have all subbed their new CB signings early at some point in the opening games.

Re: How Do You See The League Shaping Up?
Customary for one promoted side to have a solid season and I hope it’s Bournemouth for Scott. Equally, there’s usually one unexpected managerial departure early on and whilst looking like Ralph I wouldn’t be surprised for a left-field casualty, maybe the guy at Wolves if they start poorly, or even R...

I hope when we play them our fans don’t boo him or throw fake money all that kind of thing. He’s an irrelevance and treat him as such - just ignore him and don’t give him the attention.
