Pellers looks a lot younger in that photo. Haven't seen the smile for a while either.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

Rarely do you face an Arsenal side as poor and lacking in confidence as that one. Rarely do you get the opportunity to put them to the sword. A goal down with an hour played, they were making schoolboy errors - taking short free kicks under pressure, playing around with goal kicks in their own area,...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

Here's some notes I wrote while watching the game: Soft No urgency No one willing to put their body on the line Going through the motions No drive Not doing the simple things: get crosses in, get players in the box, work hard, have a dig at goal. Generally just **** Isolating the big man up front Sl...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Any player in form Anderson has been in is lucky to be starting. He’s got a month to try and increase the number of goals he’s scored this calendar year to TWO.The bloke needs to up his game significantly and stop losing the ball all the time. I don't disagree with that, Anderson certainly needs to...

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)

You could see the difference in the first few minutes. Antonio makes such a difference with his willingness to chase down balls played anywhere forward. Haller was total contrast when he replaced him late on. However, I would like to see the two of them together.

Top result and performance.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Still don't understand why he keeps taking Anderson off for Yarmo though. We won, so I suppose the ends justifies the means, but from my view Anderson gives you that exra something where he is capable of doing somethign special. Yarmo is a one trick pony with a sweet left foot. He huffs and puffs wi...

Re: Who Next? The odds

Let's keep him and drop two divisions.

We're here for the long term - so what will it matter to us in the overall scheme of things?

Imagine the meltdown in the people who run/ruin this club? Squeaky bum time.

I can handle it - can they?

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

We are such a soft touch. Very little fight and character in the side. Antonio made a difference, but why take Anderson off when Yarmo had done the least of the midfield in the first half? Surely the side is lacking in pace, and Anderson is the one who has most of it. Anderson and Antonio combined w...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

It seems to me that whatever the system is, the players either don't, can't or won't play it. I've been saying it for a while now, but anyone who is up for it will find us a pushover. We know we posed a little different question when Antonio was playing. Thing is though, he wasn't even the first cho...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

IMHO we are not entertaining to watch at all. Other than yesterday's goal, we are generally slow in the build up and simply do not get enough players into the box. We play one up front, but don't feed him. We can play some delightful one touch football, but it seems to get us nowhere. It's like the ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

The hope destroys you really: allowing yourself to get high hopes - despite what you know from the past. Some of the top clubs are a bit off the pace, we're doing okay, and only Palace at home to beat to climb into the top four. Allowing yourself to slightly get ahead of reality. Maybe if they gave ...

If there was an inquest at the club (and that is a big "if"), you can bet your bottom dollar that it would not be half as intensive as the inquest on here.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water! I feel sorry for everyone who went last night. But the warnings have been there for some years now. This club has no interest whatsoever in winning the League/Carabao Cup. None whatsoever. Save your hard earned and do not attend games in t...

Absolutely taken apart by last seasons best. Hopefully the players won't get too disheartened by the size of the defeat. As usual, we look unfit from the start of the season. We have done this for many years now. Be prepared to wait four or five games like last year before we find our feet. The stad...

Sad to hear - RIP Sweeney/GPH.

Remember him well as a fellow "No" poster back in the days when there was still a choice.

Far too young an age to leave us.

My sympathies to his family.
