Re: Little things that irritate you
Line of Duty- or more accurately the BBC constantly talking about it, it seems it is not possible to turn on 5live (when sport is not on) without them talking about it. I don't need to hear about it on the way to work AND on the way home 5 days a week. Am I the only one who has never watched as sec...

I'm a bit all over the place today. Bricking it for next week, and doubts have started to creep in. .... I suppose I just need to take deep breaths, but the emotions are everywhere. I never do it easy do I? DL, I read your posts and though I don't think I can add any value, I wish you all th...

Don't feel stupid. I think I know exactly where you're coming from. Now, I can't do heights whatsoever. I can't even watch heights on the telly or on YouTube. It turns my tummy and makes me dizzy. .. So weird how these things can have a physical effect. For me I get a shock to the hands, probably s...

Thanks DL and Duncanio, appreciate your comments. It makes it slightly easier to know I am not an isolated incident. I would never of imagined it being a problem in my life, but something clicked that day, and here we are... Duncanio, you make some really good suggestions. I have sat in the passeng...

Further to what I've said ...After I'd had some hypnotherapy once (with someone I wasnt impressed with). She showed me a video from youtube of somebody(s) who had filmed themselves going over the bridge. I felt no different but in the past I've had Hypno with a bloke who I felt helped at the time. I...

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).
So it's a bit of a weird one for me, and I am not so comfortable talking about it with family - so here goes. About 18 months ago we were driving back from the in-laws in Essex (I am Kent based) - and went over the Dartford Bridge. Admittedly I had endured a skin full of booze the night before, and...

Re: Little things that irritate you
Keeping the theme...
"Easy peelers", what fruit is an easy peeler then? Why do the super markets call them that?
Also why at Christmas are the supermarkets jam packed full of Clemantines when everybody clearly wants Satsumas. Clemantines smell horrible and should be destroyed.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Chelsea: match thread
Completely agree They're great at professional fouls... however you only get a yellow for those compared to a red for kicking the ball 👍 Their professional foul on Linguard had a more serious impact on the game than the sending off. That could have meant a draw for us. I find it ridiculous that a p...

Re: Welcome Jesse Lingard
Just had a horrible thought. Was thinking that Rice is probably a reason Jesse will stay but with all the stories of Rlce to Man U, it would be awful to see them both go there.
Was quite happy that Jesse would stay until I thought of that. Catastrophising again.

Today, after working life in the public sector, Mrs DL is having her last day. She's landed a job in the charity sector that gives help and support solely to children with special needs, ranging from mild ADHD to totally non-verbal, and she's going to be head of service. Despite her role, she's not...

Just won two tickets to the league cup final. I'm so starved of live football that I would have paid over the odds to see Southend slump to another defeat, but I've never been to the new Wembley so I'm over the moon. Be nice to attend a game as a neutral for once I reckon. Obviously I'll be attendi...

Going to a cafe, getting real coffee and spying that they had a vegan cake akin to a square of Bounty. Only just over a £1 too. Took it back to the car and devoured it in two big bites. It was the best cake I've ever had. I'm going back tomorrow for another one. Tomorrow's cake is never as good as ...

Was some time later that she told me they’d cost £2.50. Each.

If Custard Tarts were Egg Custard Tarts they'd be called Egg Custard Tarts wouldn't they!
So when a Custard Tart is requested why give me that slimey, eggy, nutmeggy pretender to the throne! Irritating.
(I'm very conscious that this is my second custard based post this week)
