Re: Huddersfield Town v West Ham Utd: match thread
Huddersfield were poor but we were much better all round. Arnie made all the difference. That goal from the kick off was all about him beating the defender with flick and a cracking finish. Real class. And I think we all accept now that Noble is essential.

Re: Huddersfield Town v West Ham Utd: match thread
If the Terriers have got any sense they will come at us all guns blazing early on and press hard denying possession etc. We will drop deep and hope that Adrian keeps them out. We will start lumping it towards Carroll (or Hernandez) who will get increasingly isolated. If we can weather that and if No...

Re: January transfer window
David Moyes' column https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/david-moyes-column-michail-antonio-injury-fears-could-force-west-ham-to-buy-a-player-in-january-a3738456.html I have no idea if the players read this stuff but he makes some clever points - praising Cullen, pointing out how Chicharito ha...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
Sadly, I agree. We are wasting his time and he's wasting space in our squad. If he can be moved on it would free up wages for someone who can offer what we need for this season and beyond. Even at Man U he was a super-sub and we just can't afford that luxury. Today was a good example of the appallin...

I must be a miserable sod but I actually don't think I would prefer a cup win with relegation - and anyway - not going to happen!!

I'm a big fan but I agree. It's a bit of a mystery why they are so poor, needs to work much harder on that.DannyboyDJL wrote:. His set pieces aren't great, often poor,.

Re: Manuel Lanzini
Clearly he would do much better in a team that could give him better passes and make better runs with players who have the technique to receive and play on passes for him. At the moment he is picking up the ball in poor situations, having to fend off pressing opponents who know he is our only creati...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham Utd match thread
I would start with Hernandez , and bring carrol to wreak havoc for last Half hour i also like idea of Noble and Rice in Midfild and Kouyate in defence to replace Cresswell. I am hoping Zabaleta can do 2 matches in 3 days ! I agree. Rice deserves to start ahead of Kouyate and Andy must be exhausted....

Nobes on is sensible but hardly game-changing is it? Moyes is still hoping to nick it instead of go for it.

Re: West Ham Utd v West Bromwich Albion: match thread
Why can't Moyes see that Carroll is at best an impact sub? We are making it easy for Albion. Clearly the only players who are worrying them are Arnie (left to feed on scraps) and Lanzini. Bring on Ayew and Chicharito for Carroll and Arthur/Zab/Reid.

Re: Arsenal v West Ham Utd: match thread
I thought Quina and Rice showed potential. But I wish we had a team that could pass. Happy to get rid of Reid, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell on that basis. I like Ayew but likewise, he can't find a pass. Ditto Andy who is from another age. This team needs a complete rebuild. Not over-reacting to a mea...

Re: Michail Antonio
So he has gone from the fittest looking player last year to the one who needs the longest time to get fit this. No, there has got to be more to it. It's a weird one. I agree it's not just fitness. His decision-making has got a lot worse. He was always a bit of a bulldozer and perhaps defenders have...

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I don't know if it's got anything to do with Moyes or the coaching staff but he's come back a better keeper. His kicking is more directed, his saves are very confident pushing the ball well away, and he's coming out and dealing with the ball without any of the previous clowning around. His handling ...

Re: West Ham -United -v- Chelsea Match Thread
Rumour doing the rounds that as well as Luiz & Drinkwater , Morata has also picked up a knock , just need Hazard to drop a glass on his foot and we might get a draw , 18th century football and park the bus 0-0 Whoever they put out will be quality. Obviously, Hazard worries me most. He will occu...

Re: Everton -v West Ham United - Match Thread
Looking forward to this. Not sure why exactly. It could be very tense, defensive and dull. Everton can't be as bad as they've played this season and with Sam on the horizon they will surely buck up their workrate? I'm hoping we are starting to get the basic things right, but have yet to see us look ...
