Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

What about you Bondso? I’m in the goodbye Mr Moyes camp mate. Whilst appreciating all he’s done, I find his whole approach to football is not for me. He can’t change so I think it’s time for him to move on. As for the ‘be careful what you wish for’ soothsayers, I say yes it could all go wrong but t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Of course some would. It is not about winning but how you win. We scrape the EL on penalties after a 0-0 and read how we were lucky, it was a Micky mouse competition etc etc. Some just like to moan. Get a new “attractive football” manager who does not get us top 10 by mid season and the same people...

Re: Nottingham Forest v West Ham United : match thread

If we win tomorrow it will be the first time we've done the double over them since 1968/69. Both games were 1 nil wins & some bloke named Geoff Hurst scored in each game. Here's the starting eleven. Bobby Ferguson Goalkeeper Bobby Moore Defender Alan Stephenson Defender/Centre back Bobby Howe C...

Re: Premier League sack race

And yet Chelsea are in one Cup final, could quite possibly make it 2, and will, I think, finish above us and are still with an outside chance of finishing 4th.
I don't think you'll find too many Chelsea fans who would want to swap Poch for Moyes.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

My opinion, based on nothing more than a hunch, is that the 'fanbase' (however that is defined) is probably split about 50/50 in terms of those who would rather keep him next season, and those who would prefer to take a punt on someone new And most people are somewhere towards the middle of the spe...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

This does appear to be the most pro Moyes West Ham site. I reckon it's because there are about 10 or so pro Moyes people on this site who post very regularly and very vociferously and give a lop sided view as to the balance of support that he has on here.
How about a poll UTJ?

Re: Six or More

West Ham United's greatest ever manager™ had a few anomolies during his time - and this was often with Moore, Hurst and Peters in the squad. Yes UTJ, but we also were freescoring in that period. We were just as likely to concede 6 and then score 6 the next week. And we, most of the time, tried to p...

I seem to recall you posting something similar this time last year, Bob. Edit - found it, and I quote: "...whatever was working in his first 18 months simply stopped working some time ago. He simply does not seem to have it in him to turn it around." Four months later West Ham won their f...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Glasgow Celtic, I’d imagine. Or a lower premier team. Wherever he goes he will be able to perform better in a healthier environment. The way this club is run is beyond the pale. This transfer window was just beyond belief. IB Please just stop it. It's beyond a joke now. Moyes is a busted flush. Eve...
