Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

Regarding Charlie Austin, what was the deal with him when he failed a medical a couple of years ago when a Prem side tried to buy him before QPR (was it stoke)? When a player fails a medical I automatically presume (perhaps wrongly) that they've got some deep, underlying medical issue that will like...

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

Did I not read a quote from Enner recentlyish hinting that he'd be up for leaving?

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

Only reason I'd be happy to see the back of AC is because of is injury record. As a player, I think he's top drawer.

Knowing our luck, will flog him and he'll stay injury for the next 2 seasons

Re: West Ham Utd v Everton: match thread

How many West Ham cliches can you cram into a single game?

Defeat to Everton
Lukaku scores
Osman scores
Concede a winner very deep into injury time

That's West Ham in a microcosm!

Laffety is nowhere near prem standard - very mediocre in the c'ship with a poor scoring record

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

Jarvis is an odd one - clearly looks the most saleable of that lot yet still here Is it because we just don't want to take the hit? Is the player not keen on moving? Or is there a chance that someone at the club thinks he may come good for some reason (such as a change of manager)? Jarvis would pro...

Re: West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Another thing, looking at the league table, it would be quite easy for us to finish of the season in 14th or 15th (or worse). Stoke, Newcastle, Palace and West Brom are all playing well or above us in the form table, and Everton have had a shocking season but I don't think will end the season where...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?

Noble's biggest weakness throughout his career had been his fellow midfielders. This year when he played in the diamond with Kouyate, Downing, and an on form Song he was class. If you look at his statistics during that period you may even say world class. It's bizarre how opinions fluctuate so mass...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

Doesn't EVERY single spurs game follow the same formula though? Down 1-0 at halftime, slightly the worse team, equalise around the 70th mark, winner around the 90th min?

How many games have they won 2-1 this season after going a goal behind?

(I say all this to hopefully break the trend!)

exactly, we facing an injury crisis, yet still competing in the league and cup. Not sure how much the board were at fault - sounds like they tried - but maybe should've tried harder?

Re: West Bromwich Albion v West Ham Utd (FA Cup): match thread

Remember when we were 3rd/4th - we were all waiting for it to go pear-shaped, we all knew it couldn't last, we all knew the real West Ham would stand up.

Well, that time has finally arrived. Bet we go crap in the league now as well.

I had a bad feeling about today's game, but this is as bad as I've seen us be this season - though credit to West Brom, completely out-playing, out-thinking us - reminds me of so many... oh **** they just scored again

The Opposition view is hilarious this week  ditto that this guy is an absolute moronic plum. He's had it so ingrained into his head that we play hoofball 100% of the time, that it;s completely clouded what he actualy sees on the pitch. We were dangerous pinging pases round our own penalty area...

Re: Southampton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Let's take the claret and blue specs off please gents, it's a blatant red card. The bloke is in one on one, Adrian dives on it with his arm. You can argue it all you want, if it was the other way around you'd all be baying for blood if the keeper wasn't sent off. What planet are you on, son? It sho...
