Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread

Other referees are so bent. If that was a foul on Jesus. It was more of a foul on Coufal first

In a few minutes I’d consider bring Johnson on for Lanzini and go to 3 at the back

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread

This is the most one sided refereeing performance I can remember. Taylor giving us absolutely nothing in spite of City commuting dozens of niggly fouls and Fernandinho constantly in the back of Antonio, and giving Citeh every slight contact

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

Reading today’s posts, I can’t believe some of the opinions on certain players. Has anyone seen Josh Brownhill or Kean Lewis-Potter play. Brownhill is probably the most underrated player in the league. While not as good as Rice, people seem to view hims the same way most non west people looked at Ri...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

The first thing we should do is sign Areola on a permanent transfer, especially as PSG have offered to subsidize his wages. The next most pressing needs are left back and centre forward, but central midfield, attacking midfield and centre back all need additions/upgrades. That means we need a minimu...

Re: Declan Rice

I can’t blame Rice for not wanting to sign the contract if it is 200k for 8 years. He’s basically locking himself to us during his best years. 5 years £250k, maybe. He earns a top 10 player wage, and will only be 28 when the contract expires meaning if we don’t progress we will not be able to turn d...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I think we may have a bigger squad next year than we are used to. It look# like we will be in Europe again next year, and that combined with the 5 sub rule means we no longer need a first XI, but rather a first XVI or first XVIi. Also I heard that Irvine wasn’t at Blackburn to watch Ben Bereton Diaz...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

You can’t use Haaland as a comparison to anything. He had a release clause and his wages are astronomical. Adeyemi is moving to Dortmund for €38M plus add ons. That is a much more realistic benchmark. Based on his age, his performances in the champions league and the fact that albeit in a relatively...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

In my opinion, the two most likely signings we make are Keene Lewis-Potter and Josh Brownhill. They are hungry industrious no nonsense but at the same time skillful players. They are the epitome of Moyes players. They are home grown and won’t cost an arm and a leg in transfer fees or wages, and Moye...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

The next two matches could determine a lot for our summer transfers. It seems after today that we will finish in Europe, but if we do get into the Europa league again, it puts us on a different level. We know we can’t compete with top tier: Man City, Liverpool PSG, Real, Barca, Atletico, the 2 Milan...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I would take Broja for a reasonable price, but for north of £50M . For that price there are players who are already the finished article, and other promising players for much lower prices. As others have said Patrik Schick is a far better option at that price point, although Leverkusen say he’s not ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I’d take Lewis-Potter in a heartbeat. He’s very direct and was the shining light in a poor team. He’s only just turned 21 and was already one of the best wingers in the championship.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

Barring Wolves getting 4 points from Liverpool and Man City, we will be playing in Europe again next season, were more likely to be in the Europa league again. Viera will desperately want his decent Palace side to beat Man U, and i think we will be a lot more up for our final Fixtures than the Man U...
