Scapegoating him for the bad performances in 2016 when he was 21 probably did quite a bit of damage, only way to give him confidence is to let him make mistakes.Faithless wrote:I really am struggling to see what else can be done to give him confidence.

Re: #14 England 2-1 Tunisia ~ Group G
Some people are never going to like Sterling, he could score a hat trick in the final and the same people would be saying they were flukes and he was just there to tap them in (one of the weirdest insults towards an attacking player btw). He apparently can't finish yet has scored quite a few goals i...

But that's most defenders that play for top clubs, because they are top(ish in this case) defenders.Clucking Bell wrote:he's also picked defenders that play for teams where they don't really have to do any defending and can play on the half-way line.

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
Does he deserve to stay on a purely business, target delivery point of view, yes. Do I want him to stay, no. Being a fan of football, as well as West Ham, I want to see entertainment. Moyes has given us some entertaining games but I want to have a nicer on the eye philosophy. I wouldn't begrudge him...

Re: Andy Carroll
As wizzo alluded to earlier, if we had an actual attacking group, that could all rotate in and out for different games, then Andy wouldn't get the stick he gets. Because of our deficiencies in that area, every time he comes back from injury he has to been seen as the messiah. With the money we have,...

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
Echo what everyone's saying on here, is playing completely out his skin. Effort and Class, not the petulant sulk that Stoke made him out to be. Even when things are going against him, he rolls his sleeves up. Moyes deserves a lot of credit for changing is position from frustrating winger to all acti...

A much better researched rebuttal than mine.
Re Chelsea at the weekend, I don't think there's been a much better time to play them in the last few years. Fingers crossed we can get at them early and turn the crowd.

Re: Chelsea v West Ham United: Match Thread
You've named 4 good games he's had. That's OK for you is it? We've played around 40 odd games and you can name 4. Not sure if your arguing with me or against me. You said to Ladzini name 5, and I was able to 4 without even having to rack my brains. Course it's not OK, but we've been ***** all seaso...

Ladzini - Why must someone with an opposing opinion to yours be phishing? Tell me 5 great, or even really good performances Lanzini has had this season? Maybe not 5, but Huddersfield away, Chelsea at home, Stoke away and Spurs in the cup come to mind straight away. Plus he's got in and impressed in...

The thing that annoys me about that Noble video is that he is still talking about us being unhappy with them not winning all the time...
The reason he looks subdued as people have said, I reckon is because he knows what he's saying is b*llocks.

I don't believe it's right to question what he did. Let's say that someone thinks it's right to be able to go onto the pitch where they aren't supposed to be.Why then adversely should the same person think it's wrong for a player attempt to chuck them back off, especially as said player wasn't expe...

It just doesn't look good does it? Like most stuff that happened on Saturday it wasn't as bad as people make out, but we could just do without it to be honest.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
Whatever last night indicates about next week, I think the most obvious thing is we can't give them an inch in behind. They might be one of the best counter attacking teams I've ever seen. Unfortunately for the purists I think this will definitely be a sit deep and frustrate them game.
