Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Aguerd was away for ACON for over a month and has been out injured, and has played 25 games. JWP has played 43 times this season. :? JWP was the one who lost his place when Moyes finally played four forwards against Freiburg at home and Villa, two of our better results in recent months. Oddly enoug...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We've scored 21 goals in our last 10 games (inc last night). We've scored 8 in 3 away league games in that spell. We got 3 at Everton and 3 at Newcastle. Have you not enjoyed that? Yep. I enjoyed taking the game to Freiburg and scoring 5. I enjoyed taking the game to Newcastle with our 4 forwards a...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

As you like numbers, what's the par position in the league for a club with our wage bill? How on earth does someone answer that? Do you mean where are we in terms of size of wage bill? Or do I need to look for teams that have the same wage bill and work out where they have finished year to year? If...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The team can, but not for 90 minutes twice a week. For that you need a squad and I’d say a minimum of another six first team players. I hope we get there and I’m torn between is Moyes taking us in that direction as the style is different this season and can Moyes take us in that direction enough wh...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Even if everyone won their games in hand we'd be 9th, two points from 7th and four point from 6th, with a game against Chelsea to come to go above them. So to this point. If we finished 9th or 10th this year. Is it a good season? Genuinely curious to see if you believe it would be, because that wou...

Which is totally irrelevant until the game has been played, otherwise you are just making up stuff I'm literally doing the opposite to making things up. I'm giving you specific numbers validating the way we play and saying I don't enjoy watching it. I haven't said we haven't had success, we won a *...

Yep, just like the 5 teams below us having games in hand over us.

We have Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Fulham, Palace and Luton to come. You reckon we'll stay 7th?

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

And there it is, stats. it's all fuckin bollox, XG, possession stats, assists, completed tackles/passes, who the flying batshit has decided that's important? There's literally two things to gauge football on, stats or the eye test. (And before you say it, winning a trophy counts as a win - a stat)....

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Enough games for what? At this rate, to qualify for Europe. We are not going to stay 7th. We give up so much of the ball only one team has a worse xG against us, that's Sheff Utd. We are 15th in the league in xG for. Only Palace, Burnley, Luton, Sheff Utd, and Forest have a worse xG per game. https...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

What I asked was what exactly is it we're holding him accountable for? Considering we're 7th in the league for the third time in four seasons. Setting up weekly to be amongst the league leaders in shots against us, chances against us, and the amongst the worst in the league for possession, pressure...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I dont really know what we could have done differently yesterday to be honest. Ain't that the truth. We were doing everything right to take a good result back to London Stadium, but unfortunately, pressure bursts pipes. Personally, I don't think our substitutions helped. Johnson had a rush of blood...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Everyone on every side can pick and choose periods of results to fit. Overall has his time here been a success? Certainly has. But we were terrible in the league last year, and we're not winning enough games in 2024. We have better players now than I can remember, personally, I'd like to see more t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I've been being told for two months that we won't be 7th for long, and yet here we are, 7th. I've said multiple times we're in for a god awful year next year regardless of who is manager. Sullivan's chronic mismanagement of the squad is coming to a head. I just don't understand when people say &quo...

I suspect we can both play a game of hypothetical scenarios, but with with you stating something like ‘at least we would have gone for it’.
Why can't we coach these players to be better?

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Cornet could have easily given Antonio a break for 10/15 minutes at the end. He was playing wide left. It’s not like we had the ball anyway.
