Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
^^^ I doubt that, my gut feeling is that personal terms with Payet were agreed a long (long) time ago They must have been, especially for him to want to stop playing for us. I doubt he'd risk it all, from just hearing that Marseille were interested. At the very least they dangled a very appealing c...

Re: Football Manager Series
Haven't played FM since 2014/15, Missus is away for a week so I'm thinking of picking up FM17, locking the door and shutting the curtains..
Has it changed much in 2-3 years?
What's new, etc?
Thanks in advance

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
It might be worse as he wouldn't be the focal point of all their attacks! Look at Carroll or Benteke when they joined Liverpool. Went from free scoring at poor Newcastle and Villa teams to struggling in a good Liverpool side. Possibly, but Defoe has scored goals everywhere he has been, he is a natu...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
One thing I will say for those pulling apart his scoring record at Sunderland.
It's Sunderland.... he has that type of goal scoring record at Sunderland.. a team who continue to struggle every year.
What would his record be like in a half decent team that actually creates chances?

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
Imagine being a West Ham fan and thinking signing Daniel Sturridge would be a disaster  He'd be the best striker we've had in a decade! the disaster part probably refers to his injury record. Someone posted yesterday that Carroll , Sakho, Sturridge and Ings are the four most injured players in...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
Darren Fletcher has been excellent for West Brom.
At the time, he would have been a brilliant signing, absolutely no denying it.
If we can get half as much out of Snodgrass that West Brom have out of Fletcher, then it will prove to have been a good piece of business.

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
We appear to have moved a level down from last season to this one. If you look at the league, and the teams that occupy the top 7, I'd say we are where we should be, give or take a couple of positions. We were never going to break into that top 6 realistically, teams that were underperforming last ...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
Good post Bobo. Hard to disagree with any of that. Snodgrass whilst not being a popular choice is almost certainly an upgrade on Tore, the potential signing does seem like a stop gap however. Like any potential signing, lets give him a chance and just get behind him, he will be donning the claret an...

Step 1: Carroll gets injured Step 2: Carroll gets fit again Step 3: Carroll gets a new injury just before returning to action which keeps him out for a while longer Step 4: Carroll gets fit again Step 5: Carroll returns Step 6: Carroll hits a bit of form, prompting some fans and inevitably the boar...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017
I agree. If we don't get Snodgrass I won't care a jot, but I understand how they feel. It is frustrating that this is a window where we should be repairing the damage done in the summer, and have instead looked almost equally inept. I think we can finally put to bed all claims of us moving up a lev...
