Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine

Largest US Embassy is in Baghdad . Third largest is in Beijing . A prize of a season ticket at FC Ararat-Yerevan is up for grabs to the poster who answers where the 2nd largest US Embassy is . Nothing like planning ahead . The US are building a 4.2 acre Embassy in the most expensive part of Dublin,...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Soresu relied on economy of motion and energy efficiency, keeping up constant blade movement to build up momentum and minimize energy expenditure. Form III focused on strong defensive technique to essentially outlast an opponent, waiting until they began making mistakes due to frustration or fatigue...

Re: Trump

Waa thinking that the share price slump could well hurt him in the Presidential race, as well as in his pocket, (he supposedly can't sell his shares within 6 months of listing without express board approval, (the board is stuffed with cronies tho..!)), Many of his staunchest supporters would have lu...

Re: Trump

I must say, I'm taking quite perverse pleasure in watching the price of shares in Trump Media tumble over the last 10 days, it's worth just over half of what it was at it's height.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

This is true But if one club offers us £120m spread over 3 years, and then Man City came in with £85m up front we'd be forced to accept the Man City bid. True, from a business sense I'd say we'd be delighted by either outcome tbh. Cash in hand is king after all. In response to Brooko, if several bi...

Re: Joe Kinnear Has Passed Away

Bless him, terrible disease. At least he's free from it.
Thoughts & condolences with his family & friends.
His Wimbledon team in the 90's were a bunch of lunatics but certainly brought a bit of spice to the game.
RIP.

Re: Ben Johnson

Unless we're promoting one of the kids, how much are we paying to replace him? To be a back-up sitting on the bench..? Not a lot. We need a first team RB to take over from Vlad more than we need another bench warmer & Johnson isn't that guy. Vlad has another year on his 32k contract after this ...

Re: Ben Johnson

Ex. Honestly, he has connections on our youth lot thats why I am happy to discuss with conviction. I also think its not that ludicrous That's 3.25 mil a year. Over a 4 year contract, 13 mil + whatever signing bonus he's after, say 2 mil. 15 mil total. I'm sorry but that's far too much. I like Ben &...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

That's what a clause is surely? I was under the impression that for a transfer clause to be triggered, the full amount needs to be paid up front. That's the way it works in Spain, can't see why it would be any different in the Premier league. This is why they are rarely triggered. For example, didn...

Re: Israel

Probably been said before but I'm going to say it again. Israel have one of the best funded anti terrorist/counter espionage agency's in the world. They have/had informants in every strata of Hamas for years. They know every major player in that organisation, where they live, who their families are,...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Don't count your chickens he can still pull something out the bag. When the chips are down and he's getting a good kicking like before the world cup break he came up with an answer to many of us who doubted him.I still think a 8th or 9th place finish and a losing final against Liverpool will be enou...

It must've been a nightmare for Sa in Wolves' goal dealing with James Ward- Prowse's corner kick goal. The ball, clearly carried on the wind, was swerving around was spinning like crazy in front of him. It's no wonder it ended up behind him The Spanish Inquisition don't do corners. But if they did...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

In the FA Cup this season, Man City clearly used a tactic of basically standing an inch or so ahead of the goalkeeper, whenever they had a corner or dangerous freekick. They also realised that, having done it a couple of times, Spurs weren't drilled to counteract it. Lo and behold the game was even...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread
