Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

I did the tyre pressures on my motor today. Don't think i'd done them since I drove to the south of france and back in the summer. Should be 2.3 all round - front two were 1.9 and the rears were 1.7. Oops.

The theme 'music' for the One Show.

Literally the most off-putting (off-switching?) piece of music I have ever heard.

Fraser Pender. Not a celebrity name but someone many of you will know.

When you watch programmes on UK Gold or Channel 4... that bloke who starts shouting nasal crap over the end of a programme (I believe they are known as 'continuity announcers'?)… he's that Scottish one.

Worse than Himmler.

I loathe him... and all continuity announcers to be fair.

(I might have mentioned this before, sorry...).

I know they cant help it, poor sods, but people pushing their trolleys out of supermarket exits and you cant get past them and then when you look down, you observe they have a bum leg. I know it sounds mean, but it still irritates the f*** out of me

Time to buy a new one, boss. Annoying, but the computers in them are made out of paper and chewing gum and don't last forever...

Mine did that recently. The pump didn't stop because the water didn't all clear out. Try clearing any crap out of the bottom of the machine, then tip it backwards 45 degrees to remove any water that is pooling up.

Interesting, cheers bris, will give it a go.

Although it's one of the built in ones, so not sure how easy it will be.

[quote="WHU Independent"]Getting on a train, in the Quiet carriage, plotting up all comfy with a decent seat, a cup of coffee and a new book you want to read only to have your quiet disrupted by a hooray Henrietta talking on her phone constantly (to her dad) all through your journey.

For a man that travels in quiet coach, I couldn't agree with you more. Or a big family comes and sits by you with all their loud and scrotey kids. Especially when they don't have seats reserved. Quiet coach is hit and miss.

I don't want to sound like I'm giving you advice about your life & decisions, but smashing the f*** out of your knob with a hammer seems like an over reaction to me.
