Buy a few of those humane traps - it's quite fun and rewarding letting them go in the place of your choice - living in an old house we've had mice quite a few times in the 30 years we've been living on Skye . A couple of years back I stayed up late to watch the telly or just posting on here like I do when I noticed a rather large mouse skitting about by my feet , I quite enjoyed the show - we get the odd shrew too , fast little things but at least they never bring a mate or their families with them .DasNutNock wrote:A bloody mouse running around the living room. Laid down some traps, and then proceeded to watch the little b*stard happily eating the peanut butter I'd baited them with, without any of them actually springing.

I've said it before - follow the pooh. The mouse **** trail will be their usual route of running, and mice are very consistent in following the same route over and over because they consider it safe. Get a couple of those fast springing wooden traps and put it across their running path so that they have to step over the trap.
Don't feed the bloody things peanut butter. He's laughing at you right now with his mates.

Re: Little things that irritate you
We had mice 6 - 8 weeks ago and I used peanut and these traps
https://www.homebase.co.uk/rentokil-mou ... ed_p784206" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
One night, a trap went off and the mouse got away so after that I put down three or four traps in a small area to make sure I caught the little bastards.

Saw the little bugger run behind the TV unit so set the cat on him. He’s now happily playing by the Thames (the mouse, not the cat).

Isn't there always a bit of a lag between the music we hear on the telly & the music that the crowd hear/sing to?I am Lawro wrote:I know that the national anthem starts abruptly, but people should know that by now. It really grates on me hearing a whole stadium sing out of time with the music for 15 seconds before getting back in sync. :lol:
They always seem to be out of sync to me.
And yes, it's a right, f**king dirge!

Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau -
You know it makes sense .
It's the nearest language we have to the original Old Brythonic [ or Old Welsh ] we used to speak to each other until that Germanic nonsense took over through violence and aggression .
Would be a right old laugh seeing you lot struggle with the first line .

He must have a great agent as i'm struggling to see what it is he does
However, he does have massive ears, which may be the reason he gets on prime time tv
