It's not an 'it', she's a human being, like your mother, sister , daughter or niece. Jesus wept, we're still objectifying women in this.day and age!

Unless she comes out and says she wamts to be referred to as 'they' I would still think she is a woman - an expecting woman as well judging by the photo.

The red dot on sky TV, I don't want to press it, I don't want it there, it annoys me, I press back up and it goes away, change channel and the little bugger is back, sky should have a setting where you can turn it off completely

So when I am sitting in a meeting room with say ten people in it and I make a comment, perhaps indicating towards said person and say "they" how does anyone know who I am talking about?

Let's face it, it's not very long ago that gender dysphoria was deemed a mental illness and personally I I think the jury's out on whether non-binary is really a thing. How do they know that they just aren't men with feminine traits (which is perfectly ok isn't it?) or vice versa?

Answer is, they don't.

To have to listen to such rigid dogma suddenly in what is a fairly young field is just stupid

I'm more than happy to respect peoples' rights to feel a certain way but I won't be told to re-frame my use of the English language to account for it.

Sorry if that upsets you.

They = plural.

It sounds weird saying they meaning a single person.

Funnily enough, it would sound better.

We already use "They" to refer to a singular person in everyday conversation..Example:
"A person should be allowed to use the pronoun they want"...
It just needs a little adjustment....

People do not have the right not to be offended, however.

but dont you want more chances to see carefully chosen highlights of only the ' elite clubs' in this country , beautifully described by unbiased commentators like Carragher and Redknapp ?

True but why complicate matters further.

There needs to be another pronoun for clarity. Although I won't use that either. Not out of spite , more that I'm yet to be convinced by the argument for doing so

I don't really understand what is wrong with he or she. You get a choice of two, just pick one.

How many genders and pronouns are we all supposed to remember? Is this all not really just defeating the point?
