Wow, if you'd asked me to guess, I'd have said it was Maxine Peake.davids cross wrote:You know that thing.......with youngsters,
How some of them really change facially as they grow up, so much so that you would never recognize them as adults........ and others who just don't seem to change at all.

Good point, I didn't mention anything more than a couple of years ago and ignored other countries in case the young person wasn't aware that festivals happen elsewhereFreeWheeling wrote:also Donny 1988, 92 i think

I saw Maiden headline Reading in 92, the last time I saw them live.

Putting up a couple of pin boards, dropping a pin and barefoot placing my foot on the floor only to tread on the pin in such a way that it end up in the space between my last and last-from -one toe causing absolutely 0 damage/pain

Getting a phone call tonight from two of my daughters who left home last Friday just to say "we miss you dad".
God damn I miss them too, and that call was very, very comforting to me.
A word of advice to all Kumbers with young children (from an old fart like me), don't take your children for granted and make every moment count because it's all over far too quickly.

Dad was engrossed in playing with his mobile.
I felt very sad.

Of course, naturally, putting to one side the deep and meaningful feelings behind the subject involved.....(just for a second)
But......
(BBC) Bastian Schweinsteiger is considering taking legal action against a Hong Kong company making Nazi dolls that bear a striking resemblance to him.

Yep, that is indeed sad.
It's a very personal thing but due to my life choices I've never been able to adourn any of my four children with material things, but I have given them my attention at all times. They didn't understand why I wouldn't put a telly in their bedrooms when they were young, instead putting the emphasis on talking and just being together; as a family. Old fashioned values I suppose.
On a completely different note, I always found the money to take them to the Boleyn, visit a pie & mash shop and on to the game.
Those are memories that can't be taken away.
"I'm not listening to you because I'm playing on my mobile" kind of sucks.
