Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Today, for the first time, I finally saw a picture of 'The Old Man of Storr'.
More impressive than I'd imagined. Talk about rugged. A bit knobbly in places but quite a sight.
... is that one of those things that you can never un-see???

Something that makes me smile, well chuckle really, is the fact that the ‘Little things that irritate you’ thread is almost a thousand pages more than this thread!!!

Maybe this post should be on that thread, but this is my little effort in closing the gap!!

Someone posted something similar to this a while ago. That post was on the lines of what thread would hit their milestone first; Something like Irritate 1000 pages or smile 200 pages. Irritate won hands down.

We are a miserable bunch of c**ts aren't we!

Those of us of a certain age will know Uncertain Smile by The The, and the piano solo originally done by Jools Holland.
Caitlin Moran's 16yo daughter has had being able to play it on her bucket list and finally managed it.
She got this response from The The's Matt Johnson:

The fact that many (not all, I must say) Sheffield United fans spent the entire week taking the piss out of us because we are all 'still obsessed about the Tevez affair', while they, 'are over it'.
And then after they'd won, 99% of their forum commenters after their win last night, giving the lie to it.
Such bitter, vitriol. It just puts them in such a bad light.
One of them even called us jellied eel, buggerers!

I recall that when the junior Collectors were having music lessons a bit of sibling rivalry led to one, who was having violin lessons, saying to the other, who was having piano lessons, “That’s not playing a musical instrument, that’s just pressing buttons “.

Ofsted are inspecting my place of work. Normally that wouldn't make one smile. However I only lecture at levels 4-6 (Higher Education) so they have no jurisdiction over me at all :D

Some of my colleagues are not amused at my lack of 'bothered'

I don't understand. Why would Gwyneth sell a candle that smells like GCRO's vagina?
