I'm up and down the motorway a lot with work, I often stop in the services for a coffee and use the facilities, there's two things I've been thinking about, all the staff, do they get any extra travel money as surely they must have to drive to work
Out of interest, I looked at the nearest MSA to me on Google Maps, which happens to be Newport Pagnell, and it's not very remote at all, and is connected to the local roads.

How do you break an egg, but make sure that even the tiniest bit of shell doesn't fall in the bowl/pan, too?

I just cannot seem to do that...it drives me mad.

Crack it in a cup first, investigate thoroughly, then pour carefully in the pan.

That's what my missus does. She's the same. Won't let me cook anything with an egg unless she's done that. If she tastes even a miniscule piece of eggshell, the dinner goes in the bin. Weird.

Good idea. But it doesn't really answer how I can never do it, whereas the missus never seems to get any shell in it, when she just cracks them with a single tap and drops the egg into the pan without even thinking about it!

If I want perfect results I'll crack the egg open with a knife then pour the egg into the frying pan .

A little trick I picked up as to how to pick out bits of shell that have got mixed up with egg or other foodstuff in your pan is not to use your fingers or a fork but the remaining egg-shell in your hand - egg shell will stick to the gloopy bits on the bigger egg shell piece .

Crack the egg on a flat surface rather than something blunt like the edge of a pan, it keeps the shell together more, rather than it breaking into loads of little pieces in the first place.

Most of the motorway service areas have a small service road connected to the local road network. Many are just signposted with a no through road sign, or authorised vehicles only or even no entry sign. They are deliberately designed to be unobtrusive that unless you're specifically looking out for them, you wouldn't realise that they are there. If you've not noticed them, then they are effective.

Mate, one thing that I always seems to f*** up no matter how hard or gently I do it is breaking an egg properly.

Either it's too hard and I break the yoke, or not hard enough so that I have to pierce the membrane, or I break half the shell into the egg, or I smash it on the side and half the white goes on the counter. I've tried doing it on the edge of the pan, on the counter, in a cup, hard, soft, different angles, slaughter a goat to the egg breaking gods and so on.

It's weird, Im ****ing brilliant at everything else.

Why are Celtic FC referred to as "selltic"?

You don`t say someone is a selt, you say Kelt, same as you say they have keltic heritage. :eh:
