No idea but there was a couple of northerners from Mansfield in my local chip shop and they looked at me like I had two heads when I asked for onion vinegar. They'd never heard of it.

Is that vinegar made from onions, or normal vinegar flavoured with onions?

I'm a southerner, but never heard of it.

Not a question, but an answer for all you guitarists out there. Ever wondered what the opening chord was to Hard Day's Night by The Beatles? Well wonder no more ...

Was too thick to understand music theory, but someone told me that chord is an 11th (like you get intervals like thirds, sevenths and all that). They were probably pulling my leg. Owever, I became convinced that if you play all six strings, but hold the A string on a B (second fret) and the D string on an E like the bottom string and let the rest open, that is the HDN chord. b*llocks I know.
In my first job, in the Civil Service (hated it) there was a typewriter in the office and if you banged the side of it, that also made a sound a bit like the beginning of HDN.

Still the best chord in pop music is the one that ends the verse lines in Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.

I was thinking of buying an electric car for the wife, looking at a couple of years old one, I can't find any information about the charger though,
When you buy a new one they install a charger for you, if you sell the car, do they take it away or are you stuck with it screwed to your wall?
If you buy the car privately can you buy a charger 2nd hand and install it yourself?

HDN chord.....i always thought it's the tension created by the differences in tuning between the octave strings that make it what it is. You can play a Fadd9 and Dsus (like in that Randy Bachmann video) and it doesn't sound quite the same - the out of tune 3rd and 4th octave strings on the 12 string fill in the blanks in a way its impossible to replicate. Or something.

The best sounds , in any order, I have concluded emanate from one living person , and are showcased the best in his eponymous album 'Taj Mahal' (1968).
I have no doubt that if you listen to that album at least once a day, as I do, you will achieve a long ,long life.

[ Edit: i.e. minimum 64].

just overnight (or longer_ accommodation which have properties privately owned as opposed to hotels.

used them twice when I holidayed in Cuenca and they were great.

saw a programme on the company on 60 minutes (news programme)

3 guys living in San Francisco were finding it hard to make ends meet being students do they decided to rent out a bedroom in their place.

got blow up mattresses for people to sleep on

hence the name AirB&B (blow up mattresses and bread and breakfast).

lots of people I know have used them and found them excellent.

you can find all sorts of deals, nowadays I am sure that big property people who own more than one (or more) places rent them out

you can find all sorts and from really cheap to very expensive.

here in Cuenca the local hotels etc are bitching because these places don't have to pay for permits and/or pay local taxes on the places - presumably don't get inspected by fire codes or any of that type so they can run pretty cheaply.

rented a room with private bath here once for 16 dlrs a night (share a kitchen) and a full apartment all in for about 18 dlrs a night. paid via PayPal. worked out a treat.

not sure how regulated (or not) they are in other places.

As a rentee, always worth asking beforehand if they are a sex criminal or interested in serial killing & cannibalism.
