Different routines.

However I read the other day that it's about one corner in nine that'll produce a goal.

This started in the 80's, maybe 90's?
Supposedly a signal to his teammates about where he intended to try to put the ball.
One arm up for the area in front of the first goal post, two arms up for the far goal post. Of course, if true, this also told the players defending the corner where the ball was likely to go. No doubt then it changed to mean the opposite, to your teammates in the know. Bluff & double bluff & all that.
F*ck knows what it means now..obviously, it's trying to give the attacking team a slight advantage as the defending team don't know exactly what it means on each occasion.
I've always suspected some players doing it & not meaning anything by it, just to add to a general confusion.

That is what I was thinking, Samba. It can mean 'not going to beat the first man' just as much as 'far post bullet header'. Probably more habit than anything else.

I thought it was just a signal to say I’m about to kick it now. Thus you can now make your runs.

I'm bored, so I put the reg number of my last car in the MOT and Tax checker on the .gov website to see if it's still chugging along, and it's coming up no vehicle details found. I thought that perhaps it may have been written off, so I put in the details of a car that I know has been written off, an R Reg Renault Laguna I destroyed back in 2001 - and it's coming up!

So, why would my last car not be showing anything? It's a 15 reg Renault. The only thing I can think of, is that perhaps for some reason it's had its registration changed to a personal plate perhaps?

It's definitely the right reg I'm entering, so I have no idea why it's like the car has never existed. Mind you, when I took my current car in for its first service, the salesman said to me when I was waiting in the showroom that my previous car, which I PX'd was only up for sale for a few days, as someone had seen it on the internet, bought it over the phone without seeing it, and paid on a debit card and arranged their own collection.

The plot thickens...

On our corner routines it gives Fabianski the signal he's going to be called into action in about 10 seconds time...

We've got a whole Cactarium stacked up in our living room window. Must be 20+. Give Mrs Cactus her due, she's very good with houseplants and some of them are even chucking out flowers.

I am the kiss of death to houseplants.

There are 5 plants in the downstairs shithouse, when I go for my morning turn out , I get flashbacks to being back in the British Army , surrounded by foliage whilst dropping the remains of tinned bacon grill and biscuits AB

It might explain those c*nts on the A13 who fly through the 50mph average speed stretch, doing 80.
I can't believe that they are registered.

Next time you're bored, redo your cd collection in alphabetical order..

53! You’ll have David Bellamy wummaging through your undergrowth before you know it. Or, at least Lenny Henry’s interpretation of him. One for TISWAS viewers there.
