Yeah. It’s alright as lagers go. Refreshing and actually has flavour.

The problem is most of the Estrella and the rest etc are brewed under license so the stuff you get in Spain that is a good drop isn't the same here

It gets a bit of hate but Weatherspoons is unreal for it's range of beers, guest beers and the price really and if a nice London one, lovely place to setup, session and work your way through the menu

Was up cycling around the Norfolk/Suffolk border recently and was guided to a small craft brewery seemingly in the middle of nowhere, flat wheat fields, big blue skies and distant church spires was all that could be seen

The St Peters Brewery takes up a moated medieval hall and grounds and sitting in the sun sipping their Stateside Pale Ale was a special treat. Now pretty much anything tastes amazing halfway through a hot day in the saddle but this was an exceptionally smooth, citrusy, darker than most 'pales' topped with a thick frothy head.

Never heard of the brewery before but made a mental note to buy lots as often as I can. Very next day saw the distinctive oblong bottles of their Golden Ale tucked away on the bottom shelf of my local Co-Op....2 for £3.50...and they were gorgeous too.

My new favourite beer....for now

There's an excellent thirst quenching Essex beer from Crouch Vale, "brewers gold", even won a few prizes in its time not that I hold much stock by that

I work with a fella from Gallicia in Spain where Estrella comes from and he said the stuff over here isn't a patch on the Spanish stuff. It's the same as Stella. I've had it in the town where it's brewed in Belgium and it's superb, even from the bottles. Over here, even the smell when you open the bottle is enough to turn you off.

If in a pub either a Trumers Pils which originated from Austria on draught or bottles of Peroni on a hot day.
Also like Sapporo especially when eating sushi.

And I’m just too cheap to spend big on beer that tastes bad unless it’s very cold.

talk about micro-brew !!!!!!!!

they do bottled stuff, but it's too expensive for what it is......

Always worth tracking down some Trappist beers, I tend to bring a crate or two back from Belgium when I visit, you can get them over here too
The Trappiste Rochfort 10 is a cracker but not a session beer at 11.3%

It turns out that I'm not too fussy when I'm getting sloshed, so will happily enjoy anything cold.

Used to be a fan of the the real hoppy stuff, but have gone of that, big time.

Carling Black Label

Can't stand any of that dirty dishwater stuff, although I used to like a pint of Double Diamond and a can of Long Life indoors.

Long Life on draft was a very good pint with a unique taste.
Am not sure if it was a lager or a pale ale type beer.
