So nice I might have borrowed a glass.

I think one of the big companies has bought them out though.
Had a pint of this in a pub in Bury St. Edmunds last week. Kin gorgeous!

It was a Greene King pub so maybe they bought them out?

My old local used to have sausages, roast tatties, cheese and pickled onions all buckshee on the bar Sunday lunchtime and a meat raffle too - always won some brownie points if I went home with a joint of beef under me arm even if I was pissed as a fart.

Blimey, meat raffles. That's taking me back to my youth spending sunday lunchtimes in a smokey working mans club.

West Berks Brewery Tap Room is well worth a visit if you're ever down that way. Some great beers and decent bit of scran too.

The beer in Cuba (Crystal I think it was called) was fantastic too.

Another here for the 'how did coors make it into this thread' - didn't like that stuff at all.
Ichnusa on our Sardinian holiday bungalow terrace as a night cap or on a boiling hot beach day is a blindingly good thirst quencher.

Sank a pint of that today, as it happens, in a boozer called The Boot, about 3 minutes from King's Cross (but on the other side of The Front).

Went down a treat.

Heineken has bought a minority stake.

Cue much wailing and derision from craft beer nazi's.

The product won't be affected, but guilt by association from the hardliners is too much.

Meantime has had a stake bought by one of the big guns. It remains a quality brewery producing real decent ranges of beer.

I've also had quite heated 'debates' over Brewdog with a pretentious craft tosser too.

He'd drink his own mothers piss if it had alcohol in it and was served in the right shaped glass at the right establishment.

12 years without a drink now -

Peroni or Kronenberg 1664 was my layer of choice back then, now I'm reading there's a host of new kids on the block , it's wonderful to hear - I do like a proper pub still even though I stick to OJ and. Lemonade these days , much good it's done me . :)

Well it's no work tomorrow for me so I've just cracked open a Cotes Du Rhone. The trouble is the missus is now drinking it too, so I might need to scoot to the shops and get another bottle before I get too sloshed to drive. :|

very nice drop of gargle as a mate of mine would have said....

funnily enough I found a really nice South African wine called "Goats Do Roam" - guessing that it is a similar wine but copyright infringement or like most things, if it isn't grown (or made there) they can't call it that.

very nice though it was.............saw it here once, bought a coupe of bottles as a dinner gift, never seen it since
