Kumbers you’ve wanted to share a pint with

Anything goes in The Snug, the GD's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity for non-football/news related musings.

Kumbers you’ve wanted to share a pint with

Post by Ozza » Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:15 am

Doing a dry jan and longing for a pint got me thinking about people on here I’d like to share a pint and a debate with, may well have done this previously on some of Chaz’s away trips (Romford), but here goes in no particular order;

Chalks
Davewhu1964
Somerset (sh)
Major
HAmmerman11
Sicknote
Bubbs 1966
TTS
Georgie P
The boss
E17
Ginger John
Coops
Tomos
Denzil
Proph

Anyone who voted yes to the recent poll, and probably a load more

Apologies bit of a pointless post

Just 'Eug' for me.
The rest of you couldn't organise a protest let alone run a football club

You’d be in my list Oz

I’d even buy you a pint in a non-Wetherspoons pub

Like to go on pub crawl with
The Boss
Hugh Jargon
E17
Puff
Pinky
U d Chile
& Hammerman to organise the route.

Either wake with bad hangover or on a freighter to Shanghai

Well that's lovely, might as well ask admin to change my username to Billy No Mates.
I'm just gonna sit on my own in the corner and cry into the pint that I'm apparently not sharing with anyone :(

Crossd_Hammers - I’ll cheer you up - not only would I not take you to Wetherspoons, I wouldn’t take you to the Carpenters either. Not my cup of tea, that place.

I’d take you to the Eleanor Arms.

A cheap date. No need to buy him an expensive Chilean Merlot, he’ll settle for some old toffees and a small scotch

Off the top of my head:-

James P (always speaks a lot of sense in his posts which I rarely disagree with, also never rated Dailly like myself so we could have hours of conversation dissecting his mishaps)

Greatest Cockney Rip Off, Prawn Sandwich, Last Caress (for their fellow love of Metal and Punk music)

Burnley Hammer (again, some top posts from this guy)

Cockney Hammer (had a few PM's off him, seems like a top bloke)

OFT (had a few pre match drinks with him in the Queens on a couple of occasions a few years back, a right good laugh, as some will attest to by his posts on here.

Dwightster (provided me with a ticket for a game last season)

I'm sure I'll remember a few more, thankfully there's an option to edit this post!

You all seem nice and all but there’s only one: Puff

The most fascinating man on here by a country mile.

 I bet you could. Love listening to old stories from the older generation. Two of my drinking mates are 60 and 70! Still keeping an eye out for that badge you wanted mate, but no joy as of yet.

thank you very much indeed for thinking of me mate very much appreciated chas was saying the ther day how we had to fight our way to get to the grounds at away day's and fight our way back to the station

one quick one we was all skint barring something like a fiver we had we was away to blackburn rovers very early eighties so we decided to try and hitch hike up there lol it was a right laugh there was three of us we started out 7.3o friday night we got lifts of post office vans even a milk lorry we got just outside blackburn about half ten in the morning we got pulld over by the old bill who was schoked by our accents and we told them the story they was amazed i think anyway one of them said jump in and we got a lift to blackburn

it was differeny gravy back in the day if you never lived it then you will never understand it i do not mean that in a nasty way and as i always say on my twitter page we was blessed

i would not swap what i have done following this great club of ours for anything :crest:
